Lights/Aurora after Control Room in Ep.2

Hi,

I've finally managed to see an aurora after spending a few nights in the dam. I entered the control room in Ep2 to flip on the switch while the aurora is happening. However, after turning on the switch and I walk toward the elevator but the electricity always gets cut off at the same point. 

I think this is a bug...

Please let me know if you would like my saved game.

I am having the same issue. I believe this to be an issue as well. I have been reading that other people are having the same issue and can't find if this is a bug or if there is a problem with the story line. Any information would be great.

It's been happening since the first release. As I never restarted my game and played through the updates.

As far as I was concerned- while annoying- it did help me to have to use some of my survival sandbox training to last another 5 days.

On the 5th night the aurora returned I had no further issues progressing through the dam.

I retried this. This isn't a glitch in the game. If you wait for the aurora to wake you up you will not have enough time to make it through the dam. You have to watch and wait for the aurora to first pop up and then go into the dam. That was frustrating to figure out as I spent a lot of nights outside the dam waiting and trying different things.
