Ruined Tools

Hello everyone,

It's been about a year since I played the Long Dark. I have played survival mode for about 30 hours back then. I'm loving Wintermute so far but I have ran into a bit of a dilemma.

**MINOR SPOILERS**

I was butchering deer carcasses for Grey Mother and without realizing ruined my scrap metal shard. I also (without realizing) ruined my hatchet. Am I fudged? I was playing in the wee hours and it has been awhile since I played. That's my excuse anyway xD

Any help would be appreciated. I'm thinking I might have to start over

If a carcass isn't frozen, you can harvest it without tools. You can thaw a carcass by building a fire near it.
