Ice fishing holes + fire = slower re-freezing?

This is one of those suggestions that seems like it might be easy to implement, but y'know, one can never make that assumption.  Anyway, whenever I go ice fishing, and then take a break to get a roaring fire going to cook, I'd always wonder at the ice that crept back over when I return to drop a line again.  I don't think having a fire should prevent re-freezing altogether - there's a whole lot more cold around that hole than there is fire. But it seems like maybe the rate of re-freeze could be reduced so long as the player has a fire lit?  Our hatchets and pry-bars would thank you.  :)

This is happening to me all the time now.   The thin ice takes little time to form and breaking it is just a nuisance.

Imagine if we could break the thinner ice with a log.  Maybe chance for the log to slip out of our hands and fall in the hole.
