Raw Meat Disappears from Pack when sleeping

Whenever I sleep with raw meat in the backpack, the raw meat is gone from the pack when I wake up. Cooked meat does not disappear. I am finding that this is happening consistently.

I am using Windows 8.1.

What condition is the meat when you go to sleep?

I do not remember the condition of the meat. But the last time it happened, I had only harvested the meat from a frozen deer earlier in the day. Presumably it was not in bad condition (but I could be wrong).

It seems that raw meat decomposes faster than cooked meat, and that food disappears if it is at 0%.

I was wondering if that was the situation - i.e. disappears because it has decomposed. But, in case this is a bug, I thought it best to report here.

Raw meat decays quickly -- your best bet is to cook it or at least store it in a container (where it has a slower decay rate).
