JimmyPL56
How about adding single-use activated heat packs (hand/feet/body warmers)?? Provides a nice short-term warmth bonus while exploring. Could be a lifesaver in an unexpected blizzard with no fire materials and hypothermia approaching.
Mikhail_Reign
Man I live by these things. I have a pack of 20 on my motorcycle, and a few double packs in the pockets off all my winter gear. They cost cents, last like 10 hours and get hot enough to burn you. Best invention ever.
FatheriatorCZ
There are even those that can be reset after boiling them for an hour or so. They do not last that long mabye like 3 hours but it still is a heat "to go". It would have to be wery rare to find resetable ones and/or there could be a chance they rupture during the reseting. Those one use can be quite comon and used like the emergency stim but for heating purposes.
Bjern
What about one of those aluminum blankets for hypothermia? I've actually got one in my first aid kit. Haven't ever used one, but apparently they are very helpful.
Yukon Fury
mylar blankets are very good for heat, but they tear easily

Would be nice to be able to find something in first aid kits that helps against hypothermia, and this is something a lot of first aid kits do contain. Nyarlathotep
Heat packs are definitely NOT a good thing for hypothermia, you can give someone a cardiac arrest if they are in a bad enough shape. Best thing is to remove any wet clothing, and get them in warm and/or mylar blankets, chocolate bar and warm drink if they can swallow etc.. Yes but i thought of it in a wa that you could use them for quickly gaining heat to prevent hypothermia (before you start to freez)
