    It could also be a skill you would have to research to speed up the time it takes. This would make it only viable in later game modes when clothing is becoming sparse.

    You would only be able to knit with harvested wool objects.Hats and gloves would be rather quick but pants or sweaters would take some time(realistically weeks). A sleeping bag took me months in RL.
