He has lived now for almost 1000 days. He's been on many adventures, the more memorable ones being a moose harvest/picnic in the middle of Milton and brief love affairs with all the indoor wolves in the game. He's found a new region added to the game, and it took him more than one visit to clean out Ash Canyon. He's upgraded and cleaned up bases in every region of Great Bear Island, and he's just headed into Coastal Highway to kill two bears as quickly as he can (VOD).
Every episode of Brody's adventures have been streamed on Twitch, and you're welcome to come hang out Wednesday 1PM CET for my second Streamversary for some surprises and fun!- 1

I cut here because I talk a lot when streaming sharing advice, and most Youtubers like short and to the point videos. (Or maybe it's a vocal minority?) In either case, I went to the cave and warmed up and then got to the plane safely. The Interloper challenge condition, though, is to climb the rope and be able to warm up before getting an affliction from cold (Frostbite or Hypothermia). So for the day 1 summit challenge, any way to do this is accepted.
Hacksaw spawn at the summit is 50%, so I recommend against day 1 summits as per the title. But you can use this route from the Hut too if you find the hacksaw there, to save the same amount of energy. As for this spawn, the slightest delay (to avoid afflictions from the cold) may leave you at the base of the final rope with not enough energy, and you have to (try to) make it to safety.
With no means of sleeping, loss of energy translates into health loss. More energy left leaves you with more health to spend goating down from the plane to the nearest bed - Mountaineer's Hut.
-
Not sure what you mean. Once you're on the Deer Clearing level, this is the same as having used a rope to get to that level.

I don't recommend to summit without a way to restore energy, but here's a shortcut that makes that safer:

My understanding of:
"[Enviro] The Wolf’s Jaw Overlook Polaroid location is no longer blocked by terrain."
Is that they meant that the polaroid location itself is no longer blocked, i.e. the location has changed? So I presume they just moved that box elsewhere.
No, that would be a strange interpretation. The sentence reads like "you know that spot? it's no longer blocked". Which spot? Polaroid spot.
If they moved it and didn't say they moved it, it would be like someone saying "you know our car with the bad brakes? the bad brakes are not a problem anymore" not because the brakes were fixed, but because the car crashed...- 1

I was delighted to see this update, especially when I saw that,
[Enviro] The Wolf’s Jaw Overlook Polaroid location is no longer blocked by terrain.
I took this to suggest that the plateau above the Climbers Cave in AC could be accessed. I was just about to make a batch of arrowheads on Riken but dropped that to race over to AC to get on to that plateau. It was a long journey, and when I got to AC I could still not get up on to the plateau.
I can't decide whether there is a route up that I have missed, or there is a bit of a catch to it. HTL's description of the update is carefully worded. I once found a Wolf’s Jaw Overlook Polaroid another place and wonder if it is not the simplistic route up to the plateau that I hoped for.
You and me bro If you'd read my post above, it might have saved some aggravation.
FIX FOR BURNING TEAS
When the tea is fully warm, look at it. If it says "Burning in x minutes", place it (elsewhere) on the ground next to the heat source. It will warm up again in 3 minutes, and will stay warm without burning, no matter how long the fire is. (No, you can't move it before it's warmed up, it will burn.)
CARCASS LABELS
Seems to work except for snared rabbits (or stunned rabbits, which can then get away).

Great to see the fixes.
Was hoping to see a fix to the pinnacle peaches not giving the warm buff.
They now give 35 mins of warmth buff.

- [Gameplay] Fixed an issue where liquids would not become “Burnt Dry”, when being cooked for too long.
...and now teas dropped next to a fire, forge, etc turn into Inedible Burned Stuff in 30 mins
Also, teas dropped next to a fire that is <30m long will be Hot forever.
It's not good when teas don't work as they should, they are one of the most important factors for survival in the game.

Tracked time, Journal, and Challenge time is only important to speedrunners and long time survival record hunters - and EXTREMELY important to them. One record can represent hundreds of hours played.
QUESTION: Does the fix affect challenge completion time and # days survived, so that every speedrun and survival record is junk now? It would be good with more detailed information how this affects survival records and speedrun records.
I was hoping that the Enviro fix in AC was giving access to the plateau above Climber's Cave, but nothing has changed there. You've placed wildlife and loot on the plateau. All it would take is a log bridge across the narrow canyon next to the plateau. Will this plateau be accessible in future?
UI fixes seem good, and you've worked on the teas. 👍 I will check if you can still leave teas on/near fire in the evening, fire burns out, teas still hot in the morning.

This was more useful than I thought it would be. Totally doable! 👍

hmmm, yeah I wasnt too sure about pic 2...
but pic three, of the semi truck in the valley, that one is from the transition area connecting ML to Mountain Town via Milton Basin, isnt it? technically speaking? Or are you considering the truck to be in mountain town region although your perch is technically in Milton Basin? just curious, please and thank youHmm, I should have said #3 is correct also, because Milton Basin is in MT. And maybe the map says ML exit is part of the basin, I don't play with maps. In my mind, the basin is what the waterfalls from Milton flow down into.

Invisible walls are fine for story and survival players looking only to story or survive. And of course regions must be finite and this is a way to actually make them end. Killwalls I have no problem with either, apart from the few that are not due to long falls. E.g. Ravine, MT plane crash where you can actually walk into one of them, after not goating much at all, it looked fine and it looked like you could get down there. However in each case you'd be stuck there if you made a save (well, now Ravine connects to BI so maybe not for that one). I actually used this path in the last episode in the series to get to the Cannery the right way (and also found a sweet shortcut in BI).

@Gun Tech. The last one looks like MT to me, looking West across the cliff face down to Milton Basin towards Paradise Meadow Farms and the rope climb down into the basin there.
Correct!

@The Orange Birb you got 3 of 4! 👍 (last one is not ML)

So most people doing the survey with leave the sort-order questions mostly untouched, and we will get a Mountain Lion and Safehouse Improvements. Awesome! I love cougars.

It's kinda fun exploring the world in Easy Mode you have time to actually look at things and discover things you paid no attention to before... I noticed this spot walking by, went back to try it, worked like a charm!

Yep, they didn't expect the Swedish Inquisitor! 😁 I explored the area fully on stream. For now this area is like the other out of bounds areas I've been to in my Odyssey ❤️ - no resources at all (maybe 1-2 misplaced limbs if you can get to under the main area of the region) and some finished, some unfinished 3D artwork that does the job - looks good from afar.
Who knows, they may have planned to unlock this area and still might - for now I think the truck is there to lend point to the times after the catastrophic event. Something caused the truck crash but the road is now cut off and abandoned.
I think that if something connects to this area, it will be unlocked properly and be part of the story - killwalls removed and you won't have to take this path. If that happens, connecting to PV, perhaps via a new region, wouldn't be a dumb guess at all.
Hyped for the Dev Diary on Friday, it has Ep4 progress and maybe, just maybe it will suggest something about this area...?
I think it's very unlikely, but not impossible of course.

Yup. There's no way up currently. There is a closer approach where the narrow canyon is very narrow. But since you can only jump down, not up, a log bridge is necessary. We'll just have to wait until Hinterland makes the area accessible.

Rumors abound, I'm forwarding one of them. But what does the hive mind say, is there anything to suggest this out of bounds area connects to it?
