    Was that the last update?

I don't think so. Hinterland always delivered what they promised, even though it took them longer than expected. Since there are still features missing (trader, safehouse customization etc.), I'm pretty sure, there will be more updates.

The expansion page states "Part five: coming soon": https://www.thelongdark.com/expansion/

I thought six parts were the initial plan, but I may be wrong on this. As long as the promised things get released, it doesn't matter, how many parts there are.

there's 2 showing as hidden on the 'official teasers and trailers' tab- but yes, that twitter post is a good sign we might be playing later today!

You're right, there's 2. I was looking at the "Game Updates - The Long Dark" playlist. There's only one hidden video.

hope I'm wrong, but 2 videos suggests we'll get a short teaser first, with the release trailer a few days later.

There's only one hidden video, as far as I can see. And Raphs post on twitter further suggests a release today:

This happened to the Forlorn tower on my custom save. The ones I repaired at Black Rock and Desolation Point are still fine. I lost one out of three. Weird.

Happened to my Stalker run as well. Already completed the Tale, so had 4 towers repaired (Airfield, Muskeg, PV and Milton) but now only the ones in Airfield and Muskeg show up as repaired.

  5. First of: I LOVE Tales Part Two and the tale. It adds so much to the game and I'm really looking forward to the next tales.

But please, do not translate it literally! In the German version "Signal Void" is translated to "Signal leer", which doesn't make any sense. If I would literally translate it back into English, it would be called "Signal empty" - which doesn't make sense as well. If it really means "Empty Signal", than it would translate to "Leeres Signal" - this would at least make sense linguistically - even though I don't think that would be the proper translation. I know, there are way more important things to improve and fix, but it takes a bit of the immersion if the mission name doesn't make any sense in your language.

First of all: I love!!! the Tales! It adds so much new gameplay, like a whole new experience of exploring Great Bear! Well done Hinterland - looking forward to the next updates 🥳

@hozz1235 or anyone else who have finished the Tale. Could you answer me a question? (I'm kinda stuck, or just think so)

      Reveal hidden contents

I found Bunker Alpha in Bleak Inlet. My questlog updated to "Examine Bunker Alpha", which I did. I found the logbook of Security Chief 14, but the quest didn't update. It still says "Examine Bunker Alpha", even though I rummaged through it multiple times, left and entered the bunker again and even restarted the whole game. Am I just blind and there's more to find in this bunker or should the quest have been updated by finding that logbook? Thanks a lot!

Nevermind. I was just blind xD Finally found it.

Or, let me guess, it's "not the same".

Of course it's not the same. As an Interloper player myself, I can play on Stalker without any problems. Maybe I'm getting bored over time, but if I want to play the tale, I can. Players who have only experienced Stalker or less will have problems to survive for 24 hours or more first time they play on this difficulty. It would seem impossible for them to play the tale if it was only available on Interloper.

Every Interloper player went through this and we all chose to do so. Push the limits. Survive one more day. Until we learned every detail of this game by heart. So "we" Interloper players can play the tale without any struggle, while players of Stalker or below couldn't do this on Interloper.

Remember: Interloper is an especially hard mode. We are not the majority of players who play the game. It might seem so, but we are not.

Yes. I would expect that after posponing it for 4!!! months. Actually every game i bought on xbox that was announced to launch was *on dot* as you said. TLD/Hinterland is the first to not deliver.

I understand that some of you fanboys will take all bullcrap that Hinterland will throw on you but please. There are limits to "patience" and lack of competence.

And seriously the moose is easiest animal to kill in this game. Epic battle.....please.

Dude - you cried for it at a time it wasn't even the 30th of March at Hinterlands headquarter. Unless otherwise stated, release dates are subject to the time zone the devs are in. So March 30th means Pacific Standard Time. And the day has more than a second. They announced March 30th, not March 30th 0:00. Stop crying and grow up.

I've only got HRV fully mapped. My journal looks like that, too, except that I have a ??? in the first spot, not a location name.
Do you have another entry for Mysterious Signal Fire further down that has a green tick?

You can reveal the "missing" location without any penalties. You will be able, once this bug(?) is resolved, to get the achievement regardless of revealing any locations in the journal.

For those who might've missed it....there's a warning about the upcoming update deleting old saves.

In case you talk about the warning in the first post of this thread: This warning is about Tales PART ONE. It's a reminder for the console users, that once the update is live, the old saves will be deleted. Just as it was on the 5th of December for PC-users. Tales PART TWO shouldn't delete any saves, as far as I understood. Just wanted to note it, so no PC user would get alarmed about this ^^

Thank You for the detailed update. I have to chew a bit on the new brake of save games. This is really harsh, as many players have built up their new characters to prepare for the new adventures, during the last 2 months.

Since the Dev Diary refers to the split of Wintermute and sandbox for the save-breaking changes, I'd assume this part is just a reminder for the console and Mac users, that this will happen to them, once the update is live.

And the cool thing is, the badges have been registered to my current version too. Now the only badges missing are Winter's Embrace 2020. This will come next.

How did you do that? I followed your instructions and played through 4DON 2018. Got the badges but they don't show up in the recent TLD version. The only thing I didn't do was to copy the UnityPlayer.dll from my normal installation. Might that be the problem here?

  14. In my opinion, EP4 is the best so far. A lot more action-packed quests, almost no slow-paced gathering or carrying quests. Story is strong as well - a lot of ne characters with Mathis being the asshole I expected. The map is quiet interesting with a bunch of intriguing buildings. I loved this episode and I hope Hinterland will focus the same way in EP5 :)
