  1. I think that all these arguments about the trader are fruitless and until we see what the development team has prepared.

I'm fine. There will be an NPC. I'll be fine with this conversation on the radio. It's okay for me to talk through the door. I'm fine with everything. I love the game and I won't love it any less.

  2. not bad. Go on, I want to know how it ends.

And now the criticism. I think we need to get rid of the game conventions in the artwork. I think it will be much more useful to focus on realism in such a work. Two points that I would like to hear in more detail. Climbing the rocks and attacking a wild animal.

But this is my personal opinion, you should not take it to heart. Thanks.

And more. There is a separate discussion thread for this kind of messages. https://hinterlandforums.com/forums/forum/27-fan-creations-art-fiction-music-etc/

  3. Hello. I'm in the bay and waiting for updates. In the meantime, I'll share screenshots.

👆Beautiful sunrise on the pier at the factory.

👆I climbed up on the rocks above an unnamed cave. Caught a raven in the frame. Beautiful.

👆View of the destroyed bridge. I'm still there, above the nameless cave. It's a pity not to go further than the bridge. Or not?

👆View of the same bridge, but from the other side. I found a way. Next to the hunting lodge, you can climb over snow and rocks. There's nothing there. But there is a beautiful view of the islands.

@k0s0ffI wonder if there's anything Hinterland can do accessibility-wise for players with this colour perception issue? @Admin

Hello. If we had done that, maybe it would have helped some players a lot. But I've seen accessibility features in windows settings. In which there are color display points for various visual impairments. Maybe it will extend to games as well. We need to check. Honestly never thought about it. I just got used to the fact that I know that the grass is green, the blood is red, the sky is blue. 🙂

Could go into Options -> Display and try the Noir setting, which makes the game black and white. It has far far more contrast then the polychromatic version.

😄  I already have everything almost always in these shades of gray. Especially when the eyes are very tired and sitting in the dark in front of the screen. But perhaps this will be the way out of this situation.

  5. Hi/

    1. I'm not good at distinguishing between color and shades of color. But I am guided by the fact that blood is darker than snow. But due to the fact that the drops are small, I often miss them and lose track of the wounded animal. That's why I don't use it at all.. I either run after a dying animal or just after a while I listen to where the crows are screaming.

    2. For some reason it seemed to me that earlier it was possible to light a torch with a magnifying glass. And I was always asked the question - Why? And now it's not. And I had a question - is it my personal hallucinations or just removed. I'll ask around. But in my opinion it is logical to kindle a fire with the help of any tool designed for this.

Why is it "obvious" that boars are coming? What is the source that you are getting your information from?

hello. A theory was born in the community.

When the text of the announcement was published on steam. There were two items listed. Burdock and acorns. Subsequently, the text was edited and only burdock was left.

Then another announcement appeared on Twitter.. There was one similar one visible in the screenshot. experimental drawing. Some saw him as a wild boar..

Boars are simply not a thing in the region, neither on Vancouver Island, in the BC Interior, or on the Haida Gwaii.

    No boars! /EdnaMode

Yeah, and the northern lights don't drive animals crazy. Brown bears sleep all long winter in a den. etc. The game is straight about realism.)

But seriously. I'm not an expert, but I found this article. Here is the quote:

"Wild pigs can adapt to almost any climate, from North Africa to Russia and Canada, and currently have the widest distribution among all large mammals on earth. They thrive in the USA and Australia and have been documented in the Galapagos Islands. They cost the US agriculture more than a billion US dollars a year."

No offense. But how much can you eat one venison :))) The soul requires bacon!)))

I say we dig it up using EXPLOSIVES !  :)

Exactly. And you can spend the night in the explosion pit.

But seriously, we will probably see some kind of object like a small shovel. Such as my grandmother uses to dig up weeds in the garden.

    Looks like a mandrake 🤯

The main thing is not to forget to use headphones when we are going to dig out that root.

I had a similar thought, for the acorns or burdock. All the other non-craftables with health effects have craftable equivalents: herbal tea->birch bark, painkillers->rosehip, antibitics->resishi, but there is no craftable equivalent for coffee or GO! juice. It's something I think would therefore fit in nicely :coffee:

    I thought the same thing.

You won't believe it. I think the same way. Despite the fact that I suggested this option, I will not be very happy that it seems right. I will hope for the second option, that burdock will become the second ordinary edible plant, and as it turned out - an addition to the recipe.

  9. Hello everyone.

I've been playing since 2017. I hear about the shotgun very often. I read all the pros and cons with pleasure. And I want to add from myself. A shotgun will be needed only if the developers open up the possibility for us to hunt birds. I just refuse to think of hunting crows with a powerful rifle or revolver, for example. And who will use it later and how, this is like all the mechanics in the game, at their personal discretion.

  10. Hello everyone. My head is spinning with assumptions. Wikipedia tells us such interesting things.

    249779408_Arctium-Wikipedia-GoogleChrome09_11.202211_05_21.thumb.png.617b980d2161a6c4c076dc9798cc46fb.png

The main thing of course is curiosity about what will treat. but there is information that burdock root will be used as a tea and an ingredient for soup. (sorry I can't verify the authenticity)

But if it's true. I think we are waiting for not only the use of burdock root as an ingredient. But other plant products will also become ingredients,.

In general, we are waiting and rejoicing.
