Thanks.  I guess I've never taken enough of them or gone back to an area where I noticed it happening.  They take so long to harvest, I usually found I wind up freezing to death while trying to cut them up, so I've pretty much stuck to collecting coal, sticks and branches... along with any indoor reclaimed wood I could gather.

If you can find 2x limbs close to each other (Ideally  3x). Build a fire in the centre, will only cost initial 1or2 hr of fire. Then just add 1x piece of wood per harvested limb. You will always get more wood than you've used and can fight /stave off cabin fever , once it twice per week.

Also if close to your base camp, take some food , then use the whole day prepping food , water, and wood for the next few days. While chopping wood.

  2. When getting to the point of breaking down most of the  furniture in PV farmhouse during a long run. I can't bring myself to break down th baby's cot/crib .

It just doesn't seem right for some reason , which even I find strange as I'm not a father irl. But i still get a strong emotional reaction with the solitude of this game and the slow errosion of what it means to be human without technology . It just somehow with this one item seems a step too far toward turning your back on humanity.

  3. I think this would be a great addition to the game.

If the wolves attack a bear or moose then I think it would be reasonable that the hide would be unharvestable/ruined. Also if they made it so the wolves could not be made to flee from the carcass and would instead instantly attack the player even if you shot one.(which would make sense as they brought It down together as a pack and so much meat would be worth defending to the death )

That way It wouldn't give the player easy access to these hides/or meat early game.

  4. With the new cooking mechanic do you have any plans to allow us to empty cooked cans of food?

I really like the new mechanic requiring the use of a can / pot to boil water.

However I recently found myself in a situation where I had left my two water cans ( I always carry 2 small cans ) down at the crash site in MT . When I got back to grey mothers house I was in desperate need of some water I did have a few cans of dog food and pinnacle peaches  however they where both below 10% condition therefore I did not want to risk food poisoning to gain a can.

So could empty can contents be made a thing please?

I can also see this being an issue for longer runs when moving to  unexplored regions , none of the cans will be usable.

I know we have the cooking pot for boiling water however on maps like TWM/FM etc there may not be a cooling pot available.
