so....is there any mechanic bonus sitting in a blind waiting for the prey? ...are they less likely to see you/smell you?....

Not sure if it helps with wolves and deer spotting or smelling you,but i do know that bears cant get to you if you shoot from inside the hunters blind, also you can take down a bear with 2x good shots to the head if you are close to a cabin,shoot then pop in and go to sleep for few hours,most of the time it will bleed out close by or if you know where it lives might be between you and his cave, incase you dont know how to spot a bear cave, its the ones with old carcass/ pile of bones,

Be careful with that shoot-and-pop bear hunting -- even if you get through the door well ahead of the bear, you can still take damage.
