When meat has just been fried and the player is about to eat it, it is not hot. It should be hot as peaches, beans or coffee can be eaten/drunk hot short after heating them up.

It technically is warm, but a piece of meat doesn't necessarily warm you the same way a fruit in a tin of hot liquid or a cup of coffee would, so it's not really approached in the same style.

If this is the approach of the game I understand your point. But if the items in the player's backpack would be affected by the outside temperature and each item had a temperature it then would matter if the player eats a hot or a cold piece of meat.

Of course this would eventually result in frozen potable water or soda etc. I kinda like that idea :-)
