Have you always been able to harvest rabbits in the dark ? i was in a cave at night pitch black and was able to harvest rabbits. Got me thinking have you always been able to do this ? Or is this new since the update ?

That's been true since before the v2 update in Dec 2022. I used to save them to do in the dark to productively pass time if I woke up before the light.

I cannot think of a time that I could not harvest rabbits in the dark.  Similarly I harvest ptarmigans in the dark prior to kill time before sleeping.
