All I want is for the 'holster' action to be a holster/unholster toggle.

If pressing 'holster' would just pull out the last thing I holstered if I'm not currently holding anything I think it would solve world peace.

In stalker you can drag any usable item into the F1-4 slots(and you can also rebind F1-4 to whatever you want) or press 1 or 2 to select the left and right weapons....or rebind 1 or 2 to whatever you wish. If you press 1, 1 is drawn. If 1 is already drawn and you press 1 you holster 1. If you have 1 out and press 2, 2 comes out. Simple and effective from 16 years ago. I am sure it was done long before STALKER too. Anyways don't get your hopes up, I've seen zero evidence that they see the terrible controls in this game as an issue.
