Anyone else experiencing vanishing deer? (Survival)

So started a new save, shot two deer, both ran off and eventually their tracks just stop. No blood trail, no hoof prints and no deer anywhere nearby. Anyone else getting this issue?

 

They were on two different days and yes, I did immediately follow them

Well yes I had the same problem after shooting a doe by the river at Carter Dam, she ran away towards the dam on the left side of the bridge and the tracks disappeared along with the blood trail after crossing the railroad tracks.

This happened with the update and two days ago.
