Camp office cabinets bugged?

So last night I placed about 7 items in the kitchen file cabinet in the camp office before heading out to the cabins across Mystery lake. When I got back I logged off for the night. This morning, the file cabinet is empty and all the items are back in my personal inventory. Is this a bug?
