I made a quick list of food and drug decay times in days on stalker level as base

[Strelok]

Will never decay:

Cooked Teas and Coffee

Salty Crackers

Cat Tail Stalk

 

Decay time in days where indoor/outdoor doesnt matter from 100% to ruined:

Water Purification Tablets  ->  500 days

Tin of Coffee  ->  1000 days

Anabiotics  ->  1000 days

Painkillers  ->  1000 days

Herbal Tea  ->  1492 days

 

Food best kept indoors:

Pinnacle Peaches  ->  300 days

Sodas  -> 598 days

Go Energy Drink  ->  598 days

Pork and Beans  ->  751 days

Tin of Sardines  ->  1492 days

 

Food best kept outdoors:

Maple Sirup  ->  200 days

Peanut Butter  ->  200 days

Energy Bar  ->  239 days

Condensed Milk  ->  400 days

Dog Food  ->  598 days

Tomato Soup  ->  2000 days

Granola Bar  ->  3030 days

MRE  ->  3571 days

Airline Food  ->  3571 days

Chocolate/Candy Bar  ->  4000 days

Ketchup Chips  ->  4000 days

Beef Jerky  -> 10000 days

 

Raw meat outdoor:

Rabbit & Wolf  ->  30 days

Bear  ->  40 days

Venison & Moose  ->  50 days

 

Cooked meat outdoor:

Rabbit  ->  80 days

Wolf & Venison  ->  100 days

Bear & Moose  ->  120 days

 

At level 5 cooking you can ignore that besides using always faster decaying food first to prevent accidantely store ruined food in containers which then would disappear.

 

Above is stalker as base level (100).

Interloper 200%

Voyager 80%

Pilgrim 25%

Kinda surprised that the crackers don't decay?  Not really looked though if I'm honest. I'll have to check it out for myself.

They have different conditions when you find them. That could lead to think they can decay.

Agree. Also storm lanterns i would say should decay by usage. So repairing them would make sense.

Well I'm not sure if it's just me but crackers and biscuits are always the first thing to go stale in real life

Perhaps the Devs weren't happy about that and vowed it would never happen in the game🙂 

Makes sense with the lantern's. I usually get the first one I find,always low condition, and don't repair it for quite a while. Never had one at 100% condition.
