The Long Dark Multiplayer

I think it should be a multiplayer in The Long Dark game, I bought this game and my friend bought it
We broke down, sorry it wasn't a multiplayer

The game's base premise of surviving alone in the wilderness is kind of defeated when not alone in the wilderness.  My son also would like a multiplayer version, but I personally would never see myself playing it.  Maybe, after they are done with TLD, they could come up with a Canadian hunting game, maybe with a build-your-own hunting and fishing camp... something that's not so focused of self-reliance and basic survival.

I think they will never add a true multiplayer to the game, maybe a co-op mode that has to due with Wintermute, but the game mechanics really do not work with a multiplayer experience. While I feel the pain of buying a game that looks really cool, but it ends up not being a multiplayer, there's nothing that can really be done.
