Music & Content from Story Mode

Getting inspiration from @piddy3825, I have started a new Story Mode game.  I haven't played it since ep3 came out.  What has become apparent to me is that there is so much content that could be pulled into Survival mode.  For example, I just heard an acoustical guitar version of the main theme song.  Why can't we get that in Survival?  All the survival notes?  Yes, they are a bit more applicable to give Story mode some depth, but I think they could apply to Surv as well?  And, I'm only about an hour into ep1!
