Buckskin pants at least as warm, windproof, and tough as cargo pants.

Hooded poncho you can wear over a coat to prevent blizzard damage, which means, I guess, it offers wind protection but little warmth. On a recent trek through a blizzard of about two hours, deerskin boots and wolfskin coat lost 10 - 15% , which wouldn't happen IRL.

Rifle sling that reduces the weight of the rifle from the backpack. A bota bag might do the same for water, but both of these might be a coding nightmare. (?)

Rawhide bowstrings and snares, though IRL rawhide bowstrings don't last at all.

You use rawhide to make bow strings, you use gut, cleaned, trimmed, twisted, and tried under tension.

love that idea. i always end up with a lot of leather and make more deer boots than i even need

Don't you find yourself wishing an NPC trader would come along to take all that extra leather and rabbit hide off your hands?
