Faithful Achiever - Trouble in PV

Hey guys!

been enjoying The Long Dark since the early days when German Youtuber Gronkh did a gameplay in Early Access back in 2014/2015.

Now procrastinating my university to do list with Faithful Cartographer Challenge which works pretty well. Just some troubles with Pleasant Valley (hate that region though)... 

I won't get the big icon on the abandoned mine and the upper falls won't appear either even I climbed on walls and tried to glitch nearly into the waterfall. I also climbed on the roof of the mine to get the icon, but only the small icon will appear. Attached some screenshots.

I hope you can help me since I am running out of charcoal and thinking about continuing my doctoral thesis 👨‍⚕️

Welcome to the forums. Heaven forbid you need to work on your thesis!

The best tip I can give, not being much of a mapper myself, is to pop out charcoal and map as soon as the location text appears. Beyond this, try to hit high elevation on the map before you use your charcoal, since it will reveal more of the map this way.

Hey Jimmy! Thanks for your comment. I'm afraid there is no location text - neither the abandoned mine nor the upper falls will give me the information of being there...

Okay... I solved the upper falls thing... I didn't go to the right spot above the first water fall 🙂
Still got no big icon of the abandoned mine though
