Got Something in the Mail

Although I originally received The Long Dark as a gift in the form of a digital download from my wife in December 2017, I finally decided I wanted to show some more support to the studio, and also own it in real life, so I purchased a brand new physical copy.

And I wanted to give some props to Hinterland for putting this with the game.

Also, for a download of the soundtrack. (Although, I have to admit I was a little disappointed when I opened the booklet up and saw that it wasn't an instruction manual, it was literally just an empty journal. Don't get me wrong, that's still cool, I just...dammit, I want instruction manuals again, you know?! They used to be so awesome, and I'm so sick of lazy, money obsessed publishers ((not devs, publishers, I *do* understand the distinction)), sticking in two page long slips covering like the controls and the legalese info. WTF happened to ACTUAL instruction manuals?)

Anyway, I'm glad to finally own it physically and I'm looking forward to Episode Three.
