Respawn rate of animals

What is the respawn rate of animals such as deer, rabbit, moose, bear, and wolf on Low and medium respawn rate in the settings?

From what I can tell animals respawn the exact second their corpse despawns, with the exception of rabbits, which seem to have a different mechanism, and those dead deer that are already dead when you got there (they don't ever respawn).  Animals will respawn in ANY area where they are usually found, not necessary near where they died.    So you kill a bear near one den it could respawn near another one.
