JAFO
G'day @jose katan, and welcome to the forums! 4 hours ago, jose katan said: Why in Survival Mode and in Challenges Mode there are not maps ?. Because in those modes, you have to make your own maps. The game would be too easy otherwise. To make maps you need to collect charcoal from fires (each hour of burning produces 1 charcoal, and old fires you find will already have some charcoal), and when outdoors in good visibility, you use the radial menu to draw a map of the area around you. It will take some time and lots of charcoal to fill in the entire map for the region, though.

Riotintheair
Also as another PS4 player, be aware that you'll stagger forward when selecting charcoal from the radial menu which is a kind of awkward UX element. So don't use the radial to select charcoal on cliffs or while facing your fire (crouching first helps).

The more you play Survival mode, the more familiar the terrain will become. After a while, you'll get to know the maps, and finding your way will become a lot easier. (And you really ought not to try the challenges until you have become familiar with the regions involved. Otherwise you're just wandering around blind, hoping not to die before you succeed.) And if you're ever really stuck, there are plenty of good maps available online. Those by Whiteberry are especially good. (But be aware that they are all a little out-dated now, and there are some inaccuracies.)
