deer glitch

by chance i scared a deer up the path to the watchtower.  It got caught between two rails near the steps so i thought "yeah easy meat right near my overnight spot"  alas no.  I tried shooting in the center two avoid missing if i aimed at the head (it's stuck in the running animation) but both shots just pass right through.    i've seen the deer get caught in a couple other tight places too but never tried to kill them.  I probably didn't have a gun at the time.
