the old man trust (SPOILERS)

so i killed the old bear and finish the quest .then the cutscense runs and im out of the cabin...i go back inside the cabin to check the trust of the old man(he got 370 of trust on me) but i cannot further speak whit him because the quest is finished...my question is. its nothing i can do to play the final "quest" of the oldman that its unlocked by trust? or i just gonna have to play the entire episode to do it? ...dammit  if i knew of this i would gain his trust at the beggining(i didnt want to do it  cause i did it whit grey mother and felt like more inmesive if gainng her trust by doing actual  quest rather than give her items)
