Kurdain
First I'd like to say that i enjoy the game, but honestly play in short spurts as it is very slow paced and I get antsy and make poor decisions if i play a long time. I took a break for about a year and am back playing again and have again enjoyed the game. Reading others posts while awaiting my account to be authorized I realize some of the items I thought of have been suggested already, but I still thought I'd give my take on similar subjects. The amounts and numbers I posted would obviously be open to balancing, I just felt it was a good place to start the thought process on what factors could affect said skills or items. My take is that I am an out-of-shape video game player that crashed in the wilderness and I feel if you spend 30, 60, 90+ days surviving you should be in better shape, move more efficiently, craft long term survival items, etc. Thanks! So....(my formatting was completely hosed with the copy/paste so hopefully it's still readable.) MUST be able to look around with your head independently of your body. I hate strafing or staring straight ahead all the time, missing out on a lot of the scenery. Must it be a blizzard and snowing all the time? I lived in mountain climates and when it snows...it snows, but there are many, many days of nice, clear, sunny, but cold days. I feel too much is placed on it being a blizzard and crappy constantly. GorillaDust
Welcome to the forums! While I've never been a fan of introducing sleds of any kind (for travel or for cargo) I really like the idea of adding new craftable items to the skill trees. Super well thought out post - thank you for the ideas!
Kurdain
Well my thought was that they were a specific use item, made inconvenient enough to warrant a thought out plan as when to use them. I also felt they had enough negatives with them that you'd go from A to B and that's it, not something you'd tow around constantly. I feel they could be balanced and really if I were surviving and I had 20 pounds of cooked meat I couldn't carry...I'd be darned if I'd leave it...I'd fashion something up to take it with me. I appreciate the props!
