Storage item size limit

While I was running through my most recent sandbox game I've been slowly spending time with- I've been around for 18 days and FINALLY found a rifle in the backseat of a car on the Coastal Highway region. Realizing that I'd eventually come that way again I decided I'd put it back in the car so I wouldn't have to lug it back to my storage location. For funzies I just tried to place the rifle in the glove-box of the car, and guess what? It fit. That's one helluva glove-box... just a thought. I'm sure this though process can be applied to other small containers fitting items too large physically.

Its simple, glove box has a hole in it and you stick rifle partially into engine compartment.
