I think that this game needs some people spawning somewhere randomly, but very very rare. It may differ as the game progresses. They might be either hostile or friendly. The hostile ones either run away or attack you. The friendly ones carefully tries to contact by doing something, like waving their arms. + it would be cool if you can trade with them, may be even make an alliance.

Yes, there are certainly plans in the works to add NPCs to the game; most definitely in Story Mode, fairly likely in Sandbox Mode.  They would definitely add some spice to the game.
