Story mode characters

" The original plan was to play the story of Will Mackenzie. Instead, you’ll be playing the story from two points of view — Mackenzie’s, and Dr. Astrid Greenwood."

Will we get 2 characters, each with their separate storyline ? Or will we get segmented storyline, where we play one and then another as story goes along ?

I hate this segmented approach. One of the main things that pissed me off in games like RE:Revelations - you just get used to character, invest and then game *cencored* throws you into completely different area  with completely different character. Especially if were talking rather short story part upon initial release.

Probably be like the first 30 mins of Ep. 1 is with Mackenzie then it switches to Greenwood then 30 mins later back again. It's like alternating between the 2. Kinda like how MW2 (or maybe it was 3) worked where you switched teams in the campaign to experience the story from other points of view.
