New regions!

So, I just started a new game to get my 2 last achievements & while picking the start region I came across the "New Regions - Soon Available!" window. What?! So we get even more than 5 regions? When will that be? Also, devs: any news on the story mode progress? ;P So excited

There are 2 new regions coming in story mode but not quite sure whether they will be playable in sandbox, the last announcement from the devs was:

How do you know it's 2 new ones and not additions to the current ones we have?

• Story Mode will launch with two large features currently unavailable in the Sandbox: Survivors, and The Aurora. Although Story Mode will use much of the existing Sandbox game world, about 25-30% of the Story Mode world will be entirely new areas.
