I feel you. Its tough. On the days im blessed to sleep at home I literally have 1h to eat and shower before going to bed and sleeping 5½ to 6 hours for the next day. If I have extra time after those tasks I'll either gather the materials for a move or make a small move before saving. If I had more time everyday I'd rage and start over. They need to remove those insta death spots and just let us risk serious injury or death on our mistake.

I am a truck driver. I spend a lot of time on the road. I have little free time and a small portion of that free time I spend relaxing in this game and playing for the last few years. I have spent many months already on one game file collecting and moving all the essential and misc. items from every region to PV so i can move into CH then search DP for what ever I was missing. I have gain level 5 in every skill except ice fishing and mending. I have spent over 120 grueling in game days drudging like a tank through vast amounts of distances to collect everything to move to CH. I have searched almost every bunker and have gotten the radio and was one bunker short of accessing bunker omega. With no rope available in the Ravine, out of the two spots that their is SUPPOSE to spawn, I decided to trek down the rock as I usually do to get to the bottom and go into bleak inlet. I dropped near the rope and bruised myself, which is fine, I was more than half way down and dropped down a foot to the next ledge where the game decided to kill me instantly and end my game. I was NOT heading down to an inaccessible area of the map. I was going down to the ravine that leads to bleak inlet and the game was deleted after 5 months I have worked hard to get to that point. I will no longer support this game in the future, nor play it. I will uninstall and delete anything related to this game from my pc, xbox, and chrome. I will unsubscribe to anything related to this game on every social media platform and find a better game with more competent designers that have more common sense in the games that they create. I wish all you poor bastards the best of luck with having the patience with the people that created this game for so many years, and that they still have not added or fixed the most simplest issues with this survival game. The waste of time I have just experienced has let an indefinite sour taste in my mouth for the creators and the game itself. Best of luck -

well that wasn't hard. Simple. I understand and now I know your in the process of doing something about it. I will wait and weep as I did in the past and watch videos on YouTube of others having fun until its fixed. Thank you for the response.

I haven't herd anything at all. The admin wont say anything to these posts but they will respond to working systems instead. They will not respond to any of my multiple tickets that I opened and sent to them. 2 weeks now and it feels like they just took our money and abandoned us completely. I'm about to write this game off for good soon. To me, I understand that changed don't come over night, but, its been 2 weeks without a respond or action. That shows me how irresponsible the developers of this game are. But it's ok, they are taking care of the majority of their customers (Steam, Xbox & PS consoles) it's ok that they ignore the others, maybe they'd throw some money their way and forget about it. 😡😡😡

yes having a more sustainable light source would be awesome. Using animal fat and a empty can with 1 cloth to make a candle would be awsome.

branches with leaves that you see on the tree fall. You can collect them to make either a makeshift bed, or process them to make a spear. You can place spears in the ground, and with 2 spears side by side you can add branches to make a makeshift fence. Hopefully using spears you can create a hut, you can either line it with branches for wind and some cold protection or animal hides for warmth and protection. Finally be able to make a outside base instead of using a cave or fishing hut.

No, if your going to play on Xbox then buy the xbox version. When you turn on your xbox it will be available in your library. Now if you are useing your xbox app on PC then you buy the PC version.

After doing some research I found out that on other games, Microsoft has responded and said that the developer has to enable the update. They have to change the current version and update the files they uploaded that players need to properly update the game. If they don't update it, YOU wont update.

Hey bud, I had the same issue that you did. The only way that it will show up is if you go to Microsoft dot com on a web browser. then search The Long Dark. When the drop down selection can be seen, you will see TWO TFTFT. The first one is Xbox and the second one says compatible for PC. The pc one is the one you need to buy. You need to first go to the page where you can request a refund on the current one you have and then after they review it for the reason, they will issue a refund for the DLC. You then can go buy the PC compatible one. (FOR XBOX APP ON PC USERS ONLY) After doing some digging on this problem, I noticed that other games as well have the same issue. The main issue that I found out is that the developer of the game has NOT allowed the update to commence. It is on 2.02 and will stay that way until they enable it to be changed. With Easter Sunday last weekend, and for the obvious reason (because they are office people) they most likely took the entire week off for vacation, probably why they are not responding. But I am about ready to just as for a refund and find another game. I am NOT redoing 1000 fires for the fire badge on Steam.
