Mr. Phrog

WINTERMUTE- Mathis “Here, we can be kings.” I was first introduced to The Long Dark by my girlfriend, about two years ago during the pandemic. I have a lot of fun playing the game, and when I started Episode 4, Mathis definitely stood out to me as a unique antagonist. At least from what we know, he’s just cruel because he wants to be, which is honestly pretty rare to find in a villain. Trying to embody him was a bit difficult since I’ve never tried cosplay before, but it was fun to try different poses with Mathis in mind. The uniform and props are all handmade by my girlfriend and me, and a lot of love and care went into making them. Thanks to Hinterland for creating this game that brought me and those I love so much joy.
