WINTERMUTE- Astrid Greenwood Hello everyone! I first became interested in The Long Dark when I sat to watch stacyplays’ play through with my sisters, back in 2014. I had not actually been able to play the game until the pandemic, when we were all stuck at home. I’m no gamer, but I was so enthralled that I couldn’t put the switch down for weeks. Since then, I’ve been able to share my love for the game with my friends and family, and convince them to try it out for themselves. It was a lot of fun to try and bring Astrid to life, since she’s such an interesting character with mysterious yet noble intentions. Putting together the costume and making the props took a while, but it was an extremely enjoyable process. It took some time to find a suitable place to take the pictures since I live in San Diego, and pine/spruce trees are hard to come by. I’m incredibly grateful to Hinterland for creating this wonderful game and for being able to take part in this contest. I’m so excited to see where Story Mode goes next. Thank you!
