My longest run (pre-DLC) was 1900+ days.  My new run is going on 300.  I'm to the point now when I'm scouring every inch of every zone looking for missed loot and gathering ALL harvestable resources (Cattails, rosehips, scrub-brush, etc.).  The "farthest reaches" zones, I'm also breaking down everything so I essentially never need to go back.  Also redoing buffer memories (yuck) when an aurora pops.  At some point, I will also have to redo all the cairns.  I am doing them as I see them, but cairns are not my focus at this point.

Same here! I accumulated around 300 Cattail stalks now sitting in Trappers, and im using a Stone Cache as a makeshift medical container to expand the rather little storage space a bit. Teas, Cattails and Lichen fortunately dont care about the cold. Im also using the Teas as decoration for the shelves and tables in trappers. Every single run im planning to make Jackrabbit my main base for more storage, fishing and beachcomb but every single time the cozyness of trappers wins :P I never actively searched for the cairns on my interloper runs, might do it this time since im gonna run at many hills anyways for mapping.

Im also planning to re-search all the Regions again. Except Blackrock, for now. When i went to it first, i had to sit 20ish Days in the Prison while waiting for an Aurora so i can use the lead to craft new Ammo for my Revolver i found in a Momento. There have been only 1 Car Battery in CH, none in Milton and BI, but 3 in BR and the transition Zone so i had to use it there. Thats enough Blackrock for the near future. But the first Area im giving a re-visit is HRV. I just love that Map, its pure nature without being a maze like AC. Just living there for a while feels completely different to the "civilized" zones.

This run I turned fatigue down one but put hunger up one..   I've left thirst alone because I'm really lazy about boiling water😁.   If I kill a moose or bear I usually make a large batch of water at the same time.. at the start of a run I make 4-5 litres which sees me through from ash to twm summit. Up there ,there is always lots of water ,which keeps me going until I reach pv. Then once there I just use toilet water and found bottles, and the cache.. I'm pretty much set  for quite a while after that..  if I get stuck in a blizzard in a cave somewhere I'll just make a few teas or coffee's as standbys  I rarely use them..

I dont mind making water, with pots its easy to make lots of water while crafting in 1,5-hour-intervals, repair all the cloths, learning etc but thats the good thing about customs, everyone can make the perfect game settings for him or herself:) I made a Gunloper with cabin fever deactivated, loot to medium (because i want to find cleaning kits and ammunition) but to equalize it a little, i lowered health recovery, maximized winds, made wolfs more aggressive, scent on maximum and put more wolfs on the map, everything else is left untouched. I would've prefered to make the weather harsher and not the wolfs, but unfortunately winds are the only thing you can turn up from interloper pre-settings. Thats a pity (hint hint admin, give us even colder weather for customs! :D) Its only at day 15 or 20 so far, might play it more once i reached at least 500 days again with my loper.

Didn't you have an avatar earlier?   Could've sworn you did?

Haha, i know that problems being overburdened. Those animal clothes are heavy as fuck. And while i use the starving technique until i get the bow, i want to stay well fed for the rest of the playthrough. That means i always carry at least 20 Cattails with me. Some cans or other premade food if available. At least 1 of each medication tea, 2 Birch bark teas and 3 coffees and stims. Always some emergency coal and depending on map, snow shelter mats. And while many fellow lopers dont like the hatchet, i like it and carry it around (its 1,75 kg, even heavier than normal hatchet!) because it gets wolves alot quicker off, which in turn means less health and clothing condition loss. Im always around 38/45 kg in my interloper loadout, and 33ish in my voyager and stalker, thanks to parkas. Thats not much room to work with :D

I never had an avatar here so far, but that changes once i find something fitting :D

I do have to sleep through the night though, either due to me running everywhere and tiring poor Astrid out so much or because of poor visibility.my eyes aren't as keen as they used to be.😊.

I wouldnd really want to wander around there in the night as well, especially on TWM and AC. Less visibility is a thing, but what really scares me is a sudden aurora near wolf packs 🤣 Oh, and AC is confusing enough even in daylight.

Now you mention tiring your astrid, have you kept that exhaust parameter on high? Its set as medium on Interloper, while its high on Stalker/Voyager/Pilgrim. So even when you have to eat and drink more, and have less loot, you wont get tired that fast. And thats always something that i find kinda annoying on difficultys below Interloper. Those survivors seem to have the endurance of an 90 year old person, the difference is huge!

  4. 27 minutes ago, ManicManiac said:

I think it's a matter of perspective.  To me, a survivor is never "finished"    ... at least not until they eventually die. 🤭
I have a tendency to only keep the bare essentials handy, that way I never feel too comfortable or too safe.
I also tend to create my own personal challenges and extra self-imposed rules on what I can or can't use (just to make life harder for my survivor).
I can't say I've ever felt bored while surviving on my own terms.

    :coffee::fire::coffee:

I meant finished in terms of looting or getting the best equipment :D

That sounds very interesting! Mind to name a few of those goals or challenges? I might try some of them. My Survivor grows on me after so many days as well. I probably could not limit myself to make it more dangerous. Heck, i even keep a reserved 5 cloth + 15 sticks for an emergency snowshelter ready every time i stay in areas other than ML, Milton, CH for example. I cant see myself wearing anything less than Bear Coats after i got them, or not carrying a Bow/Knife/Flaregun with me at all times.

Well, TLD is always punishing if you feel too comfortable anyways. I remember the one time when i felt too confident, shot an arrow a bit over the head off a Wolf outside of Maintenance Shed and ended up having to fight 3 wolves. I ended up killing all 3, but ive been down to 15% health and one of those shredded my bearroll. That kinda reminded me to keep it safe 🤣

  5. Thats really similar Leeanda :) Stuff is decaying very fast on Interloper so i rarely stay more than 3 to 5 Days in a Region before moving on, until i looted every area. When i kill animals (or harvest carcasses in the beginning) i note it on that exact day, so i have an idea when to return when its finished, and use the time until its cured to loot other maps. And when im returning, its fun to survive from cave to cave without that "loot-pressure" :) TLD is the most fun when it switches from the hurry to a slow paced mode, at least for me, and thats the reason why i always prefer to keep playing my existing characters for as many days as possibleand only make a new one when the character of a particular difficulty dies. I play always a Interloper as main char, and a Stalker or Voyager as a side character for the days when i lack focus because of extra long shift or something like that.

Oh, and i absolutely hate that "pass time" thing. I use it only to warm up, or wait a Blizzard out when theres nothing to learn/harvest/cook/repair/craft. Every time i have no idea what else i could do, i have some firewood gathering days and a loooooong fishing session to get more oil :D

So even when theres nothing left to do, i want to use my time productively.

    21 minutes ago, Leeanda said:

I do spend a lot of time just wandering in each area looking for animals to actually kill.  There's a serious lack of wildlife on pilgrim even when they're maxed out!   This method actually keeps me going for quite some time and I've yet to get to the stage of having nothing to do.

Yep, that Wildlife getting sparser thing really kicks in after many days. I think at least on Interloper it maxes out around Day 120 or so, but there are some Days i dont see a single animal on entire ML. Not even wolves. Mostly Days that start off with a blizzard or fog, but its still crazy

I hear the best thing to do is find a way to get renewable food for the rest of the run, and to get the best clothes in the game and grind for any achievements you don’t have

I do have pretty much every achievement and every feat except nightwalker :) And the best clothes i can get since day 50 or so. Got over 1k hours in the game already, so those achievements came naturally as a side effect. Renewable stuff is a problem indeed. I probably abandon my main base in trappers around the 500/600 day mark, move half of its supplys to jackrabbits (for beachcombing saplings and ez fishing) and another half to FA for the next regions. But theres no need to do that now with ~60 arrows stashed away, 100 shafts stashed and still many saplings left. Every crucial item except firemaking items are respawning there, but they want to rework that, so maybe that is getting better or worse in the future.

  7. After a little valheim break, im back to the best survival game ever and continue to play my ~300 day Interloper with 100% exploration. After looting and exploring every region, theres no logical goal anymore what one should do next.

How do you entertain yourself on ultralong Survivors?

The first thing i usually do when i finished everything is that i re-visit the Areas i've been rushing through first, stay for 20-30 Days, hunt the local bears while harvesting as much as i can and stash it in the local outpost for that map, and then move to the next Area. In FA, i might even try to stay 50 consecutive days. Im also going to map everything, which will be a pain in Interloper.

Excited to see how you guys keep yourself entertained on a Survivor that is finished, to get an idea what else i could do :)

  8. I also think that momentos are static, at least for difficulty levels. On most regions, i got the same momentos on Interloper and Voyager, with the same loot in it.  It was just 1 momento less for my interloper in Milton, or the hint and key is somewhere else. Like hozz said, its 2 in most, but 3 in some (bigger) areas. I dont know if there can be even more.

But what i definitely can confirm is that on Interloper you sometimes get only the key, without a hint. If you dont play on more difficultys so you know where they are, that could be a lot of searching :)

And there are "hints" that lead you to points of interest, without any loot crate nearby. I didnd know that before i run around the lighthouse like 10 times before giving up, looking at the map and realizing that some of these markers are "hints" and some are "hint caches" 🤦‍♂️

And do keep in mind, the game is not what it used to be. The latest changes have made interloper even more difficult (and less fun in my opinion).

I do agree with you on the other parts, getting comfortable with interloper takes a bit practice. But why do you think its more difficult? Only thing i can imagine is that you cant learn the loot tables.

This is the first Interloper where i got climbing socks, revolver, cowichan and a fishers sweater. Thanks to awesome momentos. Also Bear pelt just take 1 hide instead of 2. I'd rather say its a bit easier now. And more fun as well :)

I haven't found any guns either and I've been playing voyageur. Mind you I've been in the far territory most of the time.

Another impression i got about this new loot system is that the loot seems to be spread around in the world. What one region lacks, another region has plenty. On my Voyager, i had to search 3 or 4 areas before finding the first hatchet. And there have been 4 alone in Bleak Inlet. On my Interloper, i didnt find any pullover on almost the entire Map. I did search everything except Blackrock, FA and BI in sweatshirts. Then i found 2 thin tool sweaters in FA terminal, right next to each other in the suitcases and the fisher/cowichan in BI momento. Also matches, there have been only 1 box in PV community center. But in TWM i found about 200 in total, even a box with 71 in it. I kinda like that system because it makes travelling around more important early in the game.

I definitely didn't find a cleaning kit.  I've been looking for one after finding the revolver in a memento cache.

Ahh alright, thanks. Thats too bad, i kind of want to take it to Blackrock to make the timberwolfs a little less annoying, but 34% condition is too unreliable. Of course i could repair it at the Sawmill, but going there would probably cost me 1-2 blue flares again.. damn :D

I still have some memento caches to find.  Their contents seem unharmed by time.  I just got an MRE at 70-something percent and it's around day 420 now.

I think so as well! The fishers pullover was in 100% condition, cowichan 41%. After finding those two and a revolver in momentos, im definitely researching every map for them, lets see if we get more usually non-loper loot.

Did you find a weapon cleaning kit somewhere in your current run? Im 99.9% sure that i looted one somewhere, cant remember where, and did not pick it up because i didnt expect to find a gun. Revolver spawned in 34% condition so that would come in handy

No, I'm at 100% exploration and have covered pretty much the entirety of every region.  Just (finally) finished faithful cartographer which was painful on interloper.

I would love to find a pair of climbing socks, but it seems unlikely at this point.  I may have gotten my hunting knife from the same corpse you mentioned, the one in the ice caves.

I never fully appreciated how good the "quality tools" are until I noticed they could be used for making arrows.

Ahh, thats unfortunate. Maybe youre lucky with the next region. Lets hope that the item condition will be as it would be in a new game. If the next region takes hundreds of days previously survived into account, chances are little that theres anything left that decays over time and not on use.

And yeah, quality tools are amazing. Arrows in 45 minutes instead of 1.5h/1.12h. Just uses up less of a day when theres more stuff to do.

Maybe we get cougar fur socks :P socks, pullovers or underwear would be amazing. Just another coat or normal pants would be a waste of potential

Edit: oh and congratz for the cartographer on loper! Thats something i plan to do as well, but in the ultra late game when i need more goals, heading for 1000+ days again. Around 200 now, next thing im gonna do is getting all those revolver skill books i used as base decoration and then heading for blackrock... with my 7 or 8 blue flares and 20 revolver shots.

I like the new loot too.  I have a hunting knife and fisherman's sweater in interloper and they're amazing.  One thing I had a really hard time with was socks.   After combing through almost the entire map, I've come up with three wool pair, one cotton pair, and the cotton pair I started with.

Is there an interloper sock crisis?

Hmm, thats probably rng. I found like 5-6 Wool Socks, if not more. Also Climbing Socks from a Corpse in the HRV Ice Cave. Even the underwear has not been as sparse as in previous loper runs. Been a pretty lucky run so far, only thing i couldnd find is 1 single piece of the quality tools (and i got 98% exploration now, only blackrock is left) but i take what i got gladly over those. Even found a Revolver in another momento cache today in BR. Gotta love it more and more...

Since youre a Loper as well, i guess the only maps you have left unexplored are BI/Blackrock?

  15. I've been exploring Bleak Inlet on my Interloper, to get the cannery open for when im out of Whetstones and to get close to 100% exploration (im on 95% now, only area left is blackrock) and i have found and opened one of the new Momento Caches.

I have found a Cowichan AND a Fisher Pullover inside! On Interloper, this is absolutely amazing. I hope that was intended and not just a bug, because i just love getting the great cloths that usually have not been available on that difficulty, especially because those are so much better than thin wool sweaters and we dont get the item variants anyway. With those 2 Sweaters and the Climbing Socks i've found on a HRV Corpse, i have 3 Items that previously could not drop on Interloper.

Momento Caches are so much fun to collect, theyre truly a great Addition to the Game. Just wanted to say thanks for this amazing feature :)

  16. How is a Custom Game determining how cold that game will be? I was usually not a fan of custom games, avoided them until i got every Badge, and even after that i played only the "real" difficultys. So im not that experienced with custom modes. But today i thought im gonna try out a sort-of-gunloper game.

I started customizing it from interloper level, set loot to medium because i was unsure if ammunition can be looted on low if i enable rifles and revolver, turned off cabin fever but to retain at least somewhat of a challenge even when having guns, i set health regeneration to low, winds one higher, scent level to high and wolfes a bit more aggressive.

Even a unfortunate bear encounter ripped pretty much any clothes except the climbing socks, pullover and a jacket, my character is running around half naked but hes freezing by mostly 1 arrow down, even without shoes and without any normal pants.

Despite starting from Interloper settings and equalized the parameters i made easier with some others made more difficult, the weather seems to be like 20 degrees warmer than it would be on Interloper. Does anyone know exactly what changes to the settings will determine the overall level of temperatures? Blizzards, winds are on maximum and i starting conditions are Interloper as well, that cant be...

  17. Its just really hard until you get the bow and your first forge run done. Also the difficulty depends on what region youre starting. If you get a PV start and find a hacksaw early, you can have the bow around Day 8-9 (remember to stone a few rabbits for guts and the pelts). A few tips helping for early Loper:

    - Torch+Stone trick to deter wolves when wind is low, helpful until you get the bow

    - Always ignite the torch first, and ignite fires with the torch until you get 100% fire chance. Matches are much less common, and you dont want to lose matches on fire fails. Always fully use up the fires, if you are done with cooking, take as much torches as possible out of it. By chain-torching (throwing almost burned out torches on the ground and ignite a new torch with it) you can get around safe from wolf ambushes and with a little warmth bonus, as long the wind lets you.

    - Use Reishi Tea if the warming up bonus would make a difference in the freeze meter, so you can move around longer while losing less health. After cooking 5, reishi tea have no other use

    - Dont settle too early, being a Nomad early is key to survive early loper. If you start in PV and dry the saplings in CH or DP close to the first forge run, dont spend 3-4 Days gathering sticks, but rather to loot ML and/or Milton

    - Dont get afraid if freeze meter hits zero. As long you just lose 50% health before sheltering, youre fine. Avoid Wolfs, sleep 10 hr straight (not 12 like on stalker because of higher thirst loss) and youre full again.

    - It helps alot to use the starving technique early on. Health loss from hunger is very little, so before you get your bow, its better to keep calories to zero the entire day, and eat around 750 calories just before sleeping. Thats the amount you need for 10 hours of sleep regeneration. Go for well fed bonus only after you got the Bow.

    - Since they made Bearcoats cost only 1 Pelt, its much easier to craft them early. If you got the bow, kill the Milton Bear. That one is a safe kill without any danger, since you can duck in in one of the dozen cars and get a pretty much free Coat.

Im sure i forgot to mention quite a few things, but i hope it helps anyways. Especially the starve technique is almost essential early. My pre-DLC Loper was almost 500 days, and my current one is on 200ish Days. If you have been on Day 19, youre very close to the brink where loper gets much easier. Bow and first set of animal clothes, and it gets much easier. Cooking 5 and you have never again shortage on food. Just avoid eating more than 1 wolf/bear meat a day, because intestinal parasites take twice as long to cure on loper. You can glitch it by making hundreds of tiny steaks (hitting esc every time after taking meat results in lots of 0.1 kg slices to cook) but thats a boring exploit and i prefer to skill it normally and with lots of tea. If you want to make your loper get established faster, that will help though.

@Shadox - don't get me wrong, I will visit FA. And I'm not moaning about what I paid for the DLC - no complaints about that at all.

But my priority is to survive (I'm not massively great at the game 😁) and so at the outset I'm after getting hold of the stuff that's going to help me with that - some decent clothing, something that will allow me to fight off the wolves or at least scare them away without having to take damage and something that will allow me to carry a bit more gear about....

I did a couple of thorough Pilgrim recces of FA and of the things I actually need, I only came up with two* - the revolver and combat pants (I think I might have actually found something like 4-5 combat pants, but you can't wear more than two at a time) so as things stand, until something else is added, I'll probably have to stick with my usual PV - TWM - AC start for non-Piligrim runs in order to get myself to the point where I'll head to FA. That's all I'm saying really - in terms of where things are with the game right now - I don't see a huge amount that would make PA worth an early visit.

But doubtless that will change as more of the DLC is released......

(*oh - and I did find the same thing that you did in both runs. Now if that means that *thing* is a guaranteed find in PA, it might well make it a worthwhile early-mid game visit. Certainly worth having that before visiting some of the regions I'll be wanting to go to..... 😉)

ETA, having just checked, it seems that the blueprints for that item are now with us from the outset but that we still need the specialist workbench to make them......hmmm

Ahh, yeah now i understand what you mean. The AC visit is one of the things i always do pretty early too. 5 kg more carry capacity is just too good especially when you want to do loothauls from other areas. Also just as important on Interloper as it is in other difficultys because it makes wearing those heavy fur clothes easier, even when theres not much loot to haul :P FA wouldnd be the first choice to visit for me as well. Its even colder than PV, its mostly around -60 degrees on Interloper. I did visit it around the 120 Day mark, so after temperature drop and nearly died several times. Pretty sure its the coldest or among the coldest areas on other difficultys as well so gearing up before entering FA is always a good idea.

I did go in completely blind so chosing it after every other area except the timberwolf areas, but loot was even better than milton. Maybe even better than TWM peak, i did find lots of food, lots of meds, but no tools and bad cloths in TWM. And my first and only 2 thin wool sweaters have been in the suitcases in FA Hangar. Also 2 Combat Pants, found 5 in total. And a Flaregun nearby, but that *thing* was nowhere on that save. So its not a guaranteed drop, at least not on Interloper. I did find it on my Voyager though. 3 in total, but i dont remember what exact shelf that was @DaGnome91. It was on the ground level, i can say that for sure.

Oh and another thing that stands against an early FA visit is those Blizzards. I often had Blizzards lasting for 2 days, and one of the times that got me almost killed was a sunny day turning into a blizzard swiftly when i was exploring the east part. I stumbled upon Justys Hovel at 30%ish health, anything less than full animal clothes, double bear coat and some birch tea would've killed me.

Maybe things will change by the time that the full TFTFT jigsaw is in place, but for the present I'm not seeing a great deal of gain from FA. It looks fantastic but flatters to deceive in my view....

Game is sparse, and though there's some decent loot, there's nothing unique or "must have". Yes, there's the forge - but there's also forges in FM and BR which I'd need to walk past to get to FA and they don't have the glimmer fog issue.

i fully accept that the picture is likely to be very different by the time all of the DLC is added and TFTFT is complete, but as things stand, my view of FA is that it's not a region to spend any time in until you're a little bit established and have some decent gear - and by the time you've achieved that, there's more productive regions to visit.

In my Opinion, you dont have to be flooded with loot or unique things to justify visiting a region. Its about exploration. And how much fun it is to stay and live in a region. And i had alot of fun exploring FA, its all open in the middle, with forest-y cliffs on the edges, has a bit of everything and feels like a better, more varied version of PV. And a pretty unique map design so far.

If more stuff to explore is added over the months, even better. But its completely fine for me as it is now. Could be my love for the Game but FA alone is even worth the 17,49€ i paid for TFT.

And also, FA can have sort of unique loot.

I found Noisemakers on a Shelf in the Hangar. Not on my Interloper though, dont know if i was just unlucky or thats just a possibility for Stalker and below, but its amazing that you can find it there.

I have found far more maritime flares than I used to, so I was expecting to find timberwolves inFA. Pleasantly surprised not to have to deal with them, though.

Same here! Even on my Loper i found about 10 Marine Flares without stepping into Blackrock, and just looting BI North. Usually i found a maximum of 3 outside of Timberwolf Areas, and the most flares scattered around the prison and the trailers in the BI south. Im glad that there are no Timberwolves in FA, i also expected that by the amount of blue flares i found, but we dont know what awaits at the other 2 Areas. I dont think they would be in the Mine Area, but they could very well be in the Mountain Area. So we have a Timberwolf Mountain with actual timberwolves on it :P

  21. I really like the Mindful Cabin, but its too far from everything. I also want cozy bases, thats why i always pick jackrabbit instead of quonset as Base in CH. Living in the Hangar is not an option.

Currently i rather view the BR Hunting Lodge as TFT Outpost, since its in a old region and like halfway between FA and my main Base, Trappers Hut.

If i had to pick a FA Base, id probably go for Island Cabin. It has the same cozy feel like Mindful Cabin, but its close to fishing, and closer to the Hangar for crafting or getting rid of insomnia without herbal tea.

Edit: one Advantage that Mindful Cabin has over drifters is that theres a road outside that leads to the airfield and that trailer near the FA Entrance, which makes navigation through the map very easy even if you have dense fog. Might help those people having trouble with lots of fog in FA.

Also, the fallen helicopter not too far to the airport it's a perfect choice. It offers perfect wind shield and you can make a campfire inside, there is even a bed inside.

The only problem could be the fog, it's very easy to get lost even if you are not far from the hangar.

You can craft a fire inside that thing? Thats perfect, i did not even try that. I dont worry about the fog, always had some herbal tea with in case i need more hp reg but the fog rarely occurs for me anyway. Thanks!

Hopefully now i can explore FA longer before i need to recover at maintenance shed/BR 🤣

  23. 5 minutes ago, Glacia said:

I haven't tested it yet, but maybe the nearby cars/vehicles offer windshield to let a campfire burns outside and allow you to sleep on a vehicle. Also, im not sure if the stairs behind the hangar (The secondary entrance) offer windshield.

Cabin fever seems tricky on this map right now, but surely there is a good spot to cure them if needed.

Thanks for the tips! There are definitely some Places that are mostly windshielded, though not completely. Theres also that broken house not far of the Hangar, it has an oven, but that one is open and lacks the metal grid most ovens have. I dont know if thats purely visual or if it lacks the windproofing. Seems like a good place to cook that moose that roamed the lake, but i didnt risk hunting him. Cabin Fever + Broken rips would do me in :D

Good idea with the stairs, theres a good chance that could work, the little fence on jackrabbit acts windproofing as well in most directions. Theres no vehicle nearby, but if a snow shelter fits there, this could be the solution!

I think what they wanted to do is provide a place where you can do stuff while the fog is there. So basically plan on using the workbench when there's a fog. I think the fog is too much present though, and for long periods, this is not really fun.

The Glimmer Fog is probably random, i honestly dont think its too much present. Im on Day 127 Interloper now, around 25 of those in FA (am i blind or cant you check the new area in statistics?) and i had it just 2 times. Blizzards lasting for several days is much more common on FA, at least on my save. Other than that, its either completely clear or dense normal Fog, rarely something in between.

Also Insomnia is not much of a problem. Its not something that can kill you on its own, but rather something that can snowball into a bigger Problem. Like keeping you critical low on condition or prevent healing of another, more deadly condition. And even that only when you dont have herbal tea. The only time i got insomnia i just slept 10 hours through after drinking an herbal tea, thats not a big deal.

Unlike Cabin Fever, had to abandon both trips to FA for safe recovery after getting cabin fever risk 2 times because of Blizzards lasting several days, while the only non-Blizzard weather was mid nighttime with -60ish degrees and (normal) fog outside.

Just for clarity, i dont complain about the difficulty of the new Map. I do like it alot, and it has a very interesting design.  But it does show again how much of a bad design Cabin Fever is. The last thing you would do when a snowstorm is raging outside, is getting crazy because you need to stay in your warm shelter.
