I think mountaineering, first aid, and crafting should be skills. For first aid, well, if your constantly using bandages and cleaning your wounds, then you would know the best ways to do it over time. The skill can be things like infection risk not going as fast as before, or maybe some way to prevent cabin fever for a day. Next, crafting. I think making your crafted items last longer and be more efficient could also help, because if you've made a specific item over time, like a torch or a knife, then you'd probably know how to make them last longer, and how to use less supplies. Maybe something like the fire skill, where at level 3 your fires don't need tinder anymore and they last longer. Lastly, mountaineering. Considering that Ash Canyon has been added, and considering the location of the game, it'd only make sense that someone on Great Bear has some climbing gear. Maybe next update or the update after, they could add the skill along with an idea of mine. Ice axes. I think an new area, the farthest north we can possibly go, would be prime territory for glaciers, where we can utilize the ice axes to the best of our abilities. Maybe we can also learn how to make our own rope for climbing, with an added risk of breaking. It can also improve stamina use when climbing up or down ropes. I think if we have available spaces then we should be able to add feats in our playthrough. I started a game with one feat, and at day 127 I had 6 other feats unlocked. Three more available spaces but can't use them. It can also possibly be frustrating for new players if they can't add feats 20% of the way through there first big game.

Instead of more guns, maybe a speedloader for the revolver or a scope for the rifle so you can hit longer shots.
