Am I counted as a newbie? lol

Sooo can't wait for this update! I have only been playing since Feb this year so haven't waited as long as others. Just can't wait to see how the story plays through.
and really excited about new area too all that loot to find 😁🤑🤑
(I know its not money, but thats what it feels like 😂)

I like this idea too. I would also like to be able to move furniture or break down a couple of tables (for example) and use the wood to build a cupboard or trunk.

I have thought of this too! I like the thought of being able to mix tomato soup with meat and eat the two one after the other to pretend I'm eating something different than just plain meat. the ability to combine some food to create new dishes would be nice.

Its really frustrating waiting on updates, but i would rather wait until the devs are 100% confident that the game is ready. if they released it too early and it was full of bugs everyone would be complaining about that.
it'll take as long as it takes.

It's not even too hard, @odizzido. Obviously older people are having certain difficulties and that's understandable. Reflexes and other things are not what they used to be. (Stinky about to get mauled down lol) and since elderly are interested in this game more often than, say.. in call of duty, we are bound to hear more complaints. Age group for this game is a lot higher than ordinary titles.
Bear part is like a boss fight, with elements of stealth. Be sam fisher, think like sam fisher. There are also safe spots where bear doesn't get you.
Dont worry too much about the bear, the story is great and bear part makes sense. It would be a crime to remove it.
Yeah I'm agreeing with Leeanda here! lol plus saying its not hard is rather insulting to people who have struggled with this part of the game! and presuming older players don't have good reflexes or can't play COD is a massive insult! I'm 48 and can hold my own in most games I play.
I really hope OP got through this cause the game and story is really worth persevering. Personally i do prefer to play TLD with passive wildlife too. i love the game for the survival aspect of it and like the solitude and escapism it brings... my RL can be stressful lol
is there any update? @Gwynren

Try navigating the new rope bridges in Ash Canyon drunk... and with a blizzard going on. All I'll say is it makes for an interesting challenge.
I think I will leave that one till i have a bit more experience lol. of playing the game that is... I've got plenty of experience of being drunk 😂

Hi
I just wanted to get an opinion from more experience players as to whether is is best to have one main base for the whole world map or to have one smaller base in each area?
so far I have went to each area and accumulated all the supplies I can to one location there the transferred the most important ones i.e. food, weapons and tools to my main base in Mystery Lake. I just wondered if others feel this is the best way for long term survival rather than just staying in one area at a time until all resources are used in that area and then moving on?

ok, better to be lucky than good. It's Friday eve here on the East Coast USA and i may be having a few vodkas. i was just going to collect some cattails at the little frozen water area at Eric's falls but then i saw that guy.
i was gonna lure him over to the fallen tree where i could cowardly hit him with the flare gun. but the SOB just stopped walking toward me when i got too far up the tree.
when i came down close to draw him in he booked toward me then ran away. i followed him like a dunksi and he charged me. I raised my gun and leveled his hairy A.
better lucky than good.
I am never drinking while playing this game again! i had a couple of glasses of wine and put it on... fell off the bridge in Raven falls Trestle... 😂🤣
Back to day one for me 😩

I agree, it is completely fine to die a couple times in the beginning, as you learn the basic challenges of weather, food, fire-starting, clothes, arms, etc.
Especially if being new to survival, and new to the TLD world.
I can assure you, you'll die later as well 😉And have enough time to be more daring to hunt, fight wolves, discover the new areas outside ML, find your favorite strategies on using the various resources, explore the different gaming experiences on various difficulty levels and find the one that entertains you best.
Welcome to TLD, Happy exploring! ❤️Thank you!
It certainly has been a great learning curve playing this game. I am a lot braver now and as you say am taking a lot more chances. exploring and navigating the map is a lot easier now too. I would also like to try other survival games, which is something I probably wouldn't have done before.
Good luck on your adventures

This is the first survival game I've ever played, so I think dying a few times is to be expected when you're new and have no experience on how games like this work.
I only died 3 times and as I said I've survived 115 days now, so its safe to say I've got a better hold of the game now.

I got one outside the trappers cabin in Mystery Lake. walked out the cabin just after sun up and there is was...

Hi there,
I've recently just discovered TLD and have found myself hooked big time! I'll be honest and say at first I thought it was rubbish, cause I kept dying of hypothermia, but after a few days of survival and finding shelter and better clothes I started to realise how addictive and challenging the game is.
I have survived for 115 days now (admittedly on the easiest level ha ha) but for an old woman (I'm 47!!) I think I've done good
Will definitely be stepping up a level soon, but reluctant to kill my character cause she's done so well lol
would love to hear how others got on their first few days of survival and what was it that kept killing you in the beginning?
hope to hear from other survivors.
Happy gaming

Thank you for the update. I for one am delighted to hear you are introducing DLC for sandbox. I am excited for new content and things to do. I absolutely love TLD and totally support paying for more content. The game is reasonably priced for the size so adding more really is worth paying for.
Thank you fir all your hard work Raph and I wish you all the best in your new adventures. I'm looking forward to seeing what you come up with next!
