has anyone found more than the one pair yet?
I found three pair in my Pilgrim game.

There's four areas in the Ravine that are insta-death areas if you try to slide down a cliff. Bashrobe on YT covered them a few months back.

The biggest contributor of Vitamin C in the game is the Rose Hip Tea, next being the Pinnacle Peaches. Rose hips pound for pound have at least three times or more vitamin C than any citrus fruits, so if that isn't accounted for in the game when the update comes out, I'll be a little disappointed.
Also, it will be interesting to see scurvy affects you over time... because one of the symptoms of scurvy is having old wounds opening up again... so will someone afflicted with it begin to bleed at random times...?

Started a new game in Forsaken Airfield, hot-footed it all the way to Ash Canyon... found the Curator's Rifle next to the corpse at the Rose Hip climb by the tree under Wolf's Jaw~

I don't have much faith in patches working on existing game files, especially from Hinterland from my experience. I just started a new game in the Forsaken Airfield (where from my experience since TFTFT's launch last December is mostly what triggers the Curator's-Rifle-failure-to-spawn problem), so I'll update here and report back on my findings.- 2

I didn't see it as antagonistic. I just see someone expressing their frustration.
Agree. When people put out money for something and it doesn't turn out well due to the seller's pledge and expectations, the buyer has a right to be upset.

Ptarmigan are the only reason I crafted fire-hardened arrows. I had no need for it with rabbits because they always came back if I missed with a stone. I think as a mechanic, it works well to incentivize you into using the newly implemented arrow.
Totally agree. Even with a low Archery skill and Fire-Hardened Arrows, you can still aim well enough and get close enough to a flock of ptarmigan and get them all in one sitting.

Totally agree. TLD is my escape from the crap world we live in.

And I personally enjoy the escape from things like that in real life,so don't want it in a game...

I'm having this trouble too. Going to submit a ticket AGAIN, with F8 pics to support my claim this time. This is the THIRD sandbox I've started with this problem, the last two of which IN A ROW.
EDIT: Oh, so you can't upload more than 5 files to Hinterland support to support your claim of an issue with their own game? *SMH, then walks away for a while* x.x -
I think Frontier Cooking is the best update to TFTFT so far! Foods that create temporary buffs, creativity of ingredients and dishes, 9 unique recipes (I'm seriously wanting to make the Camber Flight Porridge IRL, it looks amazing~), dishes that create LOTS of calories with simple ingredients, dishes that are light weight to carry... this is a great system. It is mostly mid- to late-game, especially for the more complex and unique recipes, but still worth pursuing and experimenting with. This also has the potential to making the food requirement in the Whiteout challenge easier to achieve as well.

How about the bug involved with NOT spawning the Curator's Rifle in Ash Canyon? This has happened twice to me so far and I've heard from two other people that have had it happen to them too...
On the plus side tho, can confirm missing momentos have reappeared and the Improvised Bedroll is now in the radial menu. Many thanks for those fixes~

I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one going through this issue. I just started a new Pilgrim game since TFTFT Part 3 came out, and this is the SECOND time since TFTFT's initial December 5 release that I've also been unable to find Curator's Rifle in Ash Canyon. This leads me to think there is either a sixth spawning location that nobody has either found or is talking about or the game has a bug regarding not spawning the rifle. I've submitted my sandbox file via the Support Portal last night in hopes this issue is resolved soon.

I've noticed that too. A bit worrying not seeing it there when I go to use it and then annoying when I have to go into the my backpack to put it down.

I just walked out of the Hunter's Lodge and heard this! Scared the hell outta me! D8 Glad to know what the cause is so I can go get it to stop. Thank you much for your post!

You gotta LISTEN and really SQUINT while crouching to see these tiny guys! I've found a group at the Rickety Foot Bridge in Broken Railroad, and three groups in Mystery Lake, with one right in front of the Camp Office (like in the YouTube intro video), one near the base of the Forestry Lookout and one atop a hill right close to the Prepper Cache up from the rope climb.
Best way to attack these things is the same as you would with rabbits: a stone. You can fire the Revolver at them and kill them (did that with my first one), but once you've killed/knocked out one, the rest will fly away, so only expect to catch one each time you see a group. You could probably also shoot an arrow at them as long as you have Archery Level 5, but rocks are really the easiest. I already have upgraded my bedroll and made the Base Layer Accessory and like them a lot.

I was reading over all the Signal Void logs & transcripts found during the tale. It references the mine, which we know will be the new zone coming soon and an experiment going on there. In Interview Transcript 12, it mentions "a shadow":
Could it be a reference to the Darkwalker? Perhaps an early, immature manifestation of it?
I was thinking the exact same thing, and if this is where TLD is culminating to end like when all is said and done, I'm never playing the game again. I am NOT a fan on the Darkwalker or any kind of scary crap in a wilderness survival game.

Given where it's located, I'd say it's pretty easy to ignore...
Well, that is assuming it is one of the 3 out of 9 bunkers that have loot in it. I'm using the same bunker with the workbench in my current game, but it spawned in Pleasant Valley. The other two lootable bunkers in my current game were in Blackrock and Ash Canyon.

I've seen a lot of Polaroids, so that doesn't seem to be affected. But the momentos that are found with keys in the car visors are the ones that seem to be affected. I've found all three in Mystery Lake no problem.

I started a new game yesterday in the Forsaken Airfield to start a fresh complete exploration of Great Bear Island. Got all the Signal Void caches in FA done, then went over to Broken Railroad, and I am noticing the cache-involved Momentos are not spawning the notes or keys. I've only found the note mentioning the broken bridge that leads to the Airfield, and I have found the lockbox in the cave, but the note and key for it are not where they used to be. Ditto with the note for the Momento leading to the birch saplings by the trees by the Rickety Foot Bridge.
Anyone else having this issue....?
Also, loving the new update with Signal Void, yet I am feeling a bit concerned as to where the things found in the bunkers are leading us moving forward..... hooping it won't be a disappointment as I understand this will all lead us back full circle to everything going on in the upcoming Episode 5.- 2

I've received no such update..... *is confused*

As far as what has been pledged to be released for our money, I am impressed. As far as what has been released upon the initial December release, it is not bad and definitely a good refresher for having been away from the game for the better part of a year. As far as Hinterland's pledge on their release dates, they have proven dismal as ever. I'm still looking forward to the remainder of all of what is to come out, but at the same time, not looking forward to the inevitable delayed releases from the "8-10 week cadence" they pledged before initial release (this upcoming March 30th release is a good SIX WEEKS AFTER when they said it would be out).

Ultimately, it is up to the game developers to decide how they want to implement these elements into the game, and players will have to wait and see how they are incorporated into the gameplay of The Long Dark's Tales From The Far Territory DLC.
In other words, a complete non-answer from AI as usual.

Thoughts on the Travois
in Tales from the Far Territory Discussion
Posted
I like the Travois. My biggest complaint is that it won't go over some complex terrain nor thru open doors or gates. Also, unloading and loading it due to such circumstances is a real pain that takes several minutes of inventory searching and sorting to get around such an obstacle.
My recommendations are to permit the usage and creation of separable compartments on the Travois that can be easily loaded and removed along with the ability to tie it to the end of a rope so you can either raise it after ascending or lower it before descending a rope (something I suggested for the backpack long ago).
