You take a curing animal hide, wait for it to get to 98-99% cured, and then hold it against a surface. Yes, fan blade count as a surface, lol!  Then you sit there and hold it in place until it cures completely. And they stick.

    It was all covered here:

Ah thanks! seems a bit labor intensive but if Ive got plenty of time ill check it out!

  2. TImberwolf mountain seems to be a pretty heavy feat to conquer next, you should check out the signal fire in hopes to find some better gear. You should act fast though, try and snag plenty of skins then craft some better clothing so you don't freeze to death. I assume that the mountaineers hut counts as outdoors? If so, you should craft everything there then. The road ahead will be much easier now that you have a bedroll!

  3. If you travel to the winding river and enter the cave there you can find a bedroll spawn. Since you cant go through the dam this would be a sort of "Last priority" location. In your predicament it would be very tough to scamper through two regions on 1 full stamina bar. All you can hope is you find a bedroll in PV and then more cloth. Cloth locations I can think of would be in the cars (If they count), in the trunk of this one blue truck by the crossroads store, the fishing hut at pensive pond, fishing huts in CH, the little blocked off side porch at the pleasant valley farmstead, and if you find any crappy sports socks or something on corpses you could break those down. How much cloth do you need? 5?

I'm inclined to say that any man made structure you can cure skins in or get cabin fever by staying in is "indoors".

Looks as if you wanna actually you know, survive, then your gonna probably have to go full on cave man style to cure hides and guts. Or you could camp out at the spence homestead, so little options eh?

  5. Did this before, was pure hell as Im not the most experienced interloper player. Started in desolation point and managed to survive 2 days before becoming another frozen corpse that litters the land around coastal highway. Good luck man, I believe in you! Also, be sure to check the coastal highway or timberwolf mountain ice fishin huts as they can have heavy hammers. If not check under the crafting table at the the fishing village or in the gondola at the the ravine basin. If you need any tips or help I could try and give advice. Maybe ill even try and do this challenge again!
