There's no physical media copies of the game or soundtrack at this time, but it's something we've talked about and would like to look into in the future if we can.
Thank you everyone who mentioned it, it's helpful to know that we have community members who are interested!

Unfortunately, Imgur keeps failing on me, every time I try to upload a pic. And none of the suggested solutions are working for me.
Hi @JAFO, are you not able to upload your images directly to these forums? There should be an option to do so at the bottom of the post box by the paperclip icon [Drag files here to attach, or choose files... ]
Are you getting an error message?

Update! Raph has let everyone know that we're aiming to have The Long Dark released tomorrow morning around 8:00 AM , Pacific Standard Time.

Welcome to the forums. @AndroidNacho! Did you give your discovery a name, or to this day is it simply "Unnamed Pond"?

Another tip!
Be careful about letting your supplies spoil -- food poisoning can be serious. Try to store perishable foods like meat outside where it's cold and packaged food indoors to keep them in good condition longer.
@CarbonPretty much! The Long Dark can be a deceptively complex game and the learning curve for new players can be a little steep. As in real life, what better way to learn to survive in the unforgiving wilderness than to learn from an experienced guide?
And everyone likes a good picture.

Let's help our freshly-stranded survivors get off to a good start!
What's your best piece of advice for a new player? What is something you learned that made the difference between life and death in your game?
Here's a basic one to get us started:
Fires not only provide warmth, but allow you to collect and purify drinking water. If you're low on liquids, be sure to melt some snow next time you light one.

I dropped dead right there
Oof, pretty brutal to fade into The Long Dark so close to shelter! Makes for a really spooky final image though.

We do! However our Russian is not very good -- sorry. We are practiced at using translation applications.
If you have ideas on how we make make these forums better for players who speak lanugages other than English, please let us know!

Good one of the snowfall, @Warsaw! Perfect lighting and weather conditions, looks very peaceful.

I know this is an older thread, but I saw this image by Steam user TheSt33lWolf , and felt like it should have a home over here, too.

That song would make for some pretty intense climbing, @RossBondReturns
Looks like there's a regional restriction that prevents me from watching the video you posted, @Docterrok. Is it the same song you used in your mashup video?

Could be fun. Were you thinking of an embroidered fabric patches that could be sewn onto bags or clothing?

Thanks for the feedback, we are interested in any way we can improve our translation quality. If you see cases where the Dutch translation of the game can be improved, we'd appreciate it if you could add them to our Public Bug Database, here: https://hinterlandgames.atlassian.net/projects/TLDP/issues/TLDP-958?filter=allopenissues

Thanks @Shane Retter, and nice shots. I particularly like your second one -- being able to see more of the grass looking down the slope helps add depth and draws the eye through the image.

Wait a second I've missed this right? It's not the first first episode, that was zero... The Thing is a big big film, can't wait to listen to the podcast. I also have a little question to make.
Yes, we did previously do an Episode 0 to try out the idea. If you're ever worried you've missed one, you should be able to find a list of all our published podcasts here: http://hinterlandgames.com/category/podcast/
They are also all listed on iTunes, here: https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/signal-hill-radio-hinterland/id1201021120- 1

How do you do thing where you "mention" someone - like you have with Mel's name?
Mentions are created by using the "@" symbol immediately followed by a member's forum name.
As you begin typing the letters of their handle, a drop menu should appear with a list of suggested names. @Pillock

How did you get your single line spacing?
Hold down the Shift key while you press Enter and you get line break without starting a new paragraph.

Hey survivors, I thought I'd experiment with a little game-inspired haiku. Not exactly a born-poet here -- why not keep me company and add your own?
The crunching of snow
Soft solitude falls in flakes
I breath a tired sighor
Find a frozen corpse
With both delight and despair
Moldy candy bar- 4

Great shots, @Wicked. Also those border effects are a nice touch.

Even when on break, we've still got a few people around to make sure players are looked after. We love you guys too much to disappear entirely!
