There is another thread mentioning the caches have been temporarily removed.

Might as well add a few from last year too....

I like the bunkers and hope they come back soon, but they have never been a guaranteed spawn. It's a happy surprise to find one but they aren't essential for survival.
Aren't they only in ML and PV anyhow? -

You would probably have been even more confused if you came across the same scene while it was snowing .
That's probably the only reason I didn't go check.

It's not guaranteed... I fired up a new stalker run and it isn't there.

yeah, I did too on voyager. seems to me this probably gonna be one of the "new" guarnteed spawn points for the bearskin bag. do you think that might be likely?
I kinda think that bedroll has to be earned..... but if it's there I'll take it!

I am still surviving on interloper, because I found a magnifying glass and a fire striker early, but not a single match and I searched in 5 regions so far. I dislike that items are not in places where it would be plausible to find them, for example just a few matches left from a box on a dead body. if people are out there in the wilderness wouldn't it be likely for them to carry some matches? or perhaps an empty box of matches now and then?
Wow.
Even for Interloper, I dislike this. -

Obviously the matches i mentioned aren't set spawns though, since many others have also lamented a lack of matches in the region. Just possibilities for other survivors, I suppose. 😅
I REALLY looked for those matches on the Farmhouse basement....
No matches in PV wouldn't bother me except the only way to leave would be going to Timberwolf Mountain.
But by the time you have looked for matches it's a little too late..............for me at least! -
I love this idea!!

upwards of 85% of the containers, cabinets and corpses are empty, so many that I've practically just quit looking into them as it seems it has become a colosal waste of time.
Same for me, even in the super-easy modes. (I haven't run Voyageur, just Pilgrim which should be ridiculous with loot, Stalker, and Interloper.)

Did you check the Area behind the Curtains at the Comminity hall?
YES twice!
Unless I am just missing it because it's pretty dark... it's possible however i'm REALLY looking for them and being thorough...- 1

On Stalker I found a bearskin bedroll in the coal shaft!
I'm trying to figure out the loot tables. On 2 interloper runs in PV I have found ZERO matches. not in the farmhouse, barn, not in any cars, the church, community center, store, houses, that house by the rope to skeeter's ridge, or signal hill. I got to the basement in Skeeter's Ridge but died immediately there due to stupid wolf.
Id love to know where the Interloper match spawn is in PV.
I need to run around in Stalker mode more. The one exploratory pilgrim run I did at the airfield had a surprisingly sparse amount of loot and also seemed to not be as diverse.... mostly clothing.

I feel like the world is at a point where it gets too big. I went to the airfield, explored the map and decided I dont want to spent my next 5 reallife-hours creeping slowly back to my main base with all the stuff I found and just closed the game. The path to the airfield is just way too long. Yes it feels like I went really far but it also makes me feel like never leaving this place again. Its just no fun pressing your W-Key for hours and walking slowly a straight line back. Most parts of these transition zones offer no real value or gameplay, they are just there.
I would love to see a way to travel faster between the regions.
I was actually thinking the same thing on my first run through the new regions. And also think probably the only way to do it that would make sense is one of those manual railcart things.
It doesn't need to connect through entire regions, not all regions need it, there could certainly be several in the game, and could possibly be a craftable thing (I guess you would need the travois) or just found at certain intervals on the tracks.
In any case, the game was already bigger than Skyrim before this update and with more maps to come I think some type of integrated fast-travel system should be seriously considered. There is a point where the size of the map gets too exhausting and just feels too tedious.HOWEVER....thinking further.... with existing supernatural elements like the Aurora, the Deadwalker and the Glimmer Fog, there might be some creative leeway here like some kind of Magnetic Warp Rift in certain caves or... something. Maybe with a "Disoriented" debuff after travelling.

Did the Interloper guaranteed match spawns change? The matches in the PV Farmhouse basement are really, truly, thoroughly NOT THERE.

Just came across an odd sound. Exploring further, I saw the breath then noticed the bear...sleeping on top of the rock!
I have played many, many games of "Wolf or Rock???" but never "Bear or Rock??"

Has the trader already be included in this first installment of the DLC?
I don't think so...?
Other than the 2 new regions, rifle and lamp variants, I'm not sure what's supposed to be there and what isn't yet..... -
I went through the 2 new regions in Pilgrim mode last night to check it out.
Pilgrim mode= ridiculous amounts of loot, except it wasn't. Most containers were empty for me and aside from many clothing items and a few other things, no firearms/bows/no storm lantern... it seems to me the loot tables need some (a lot of) tweaking. I didn't find any new items in the new regions. Even the airfield hangar was surprisingly empty especially for Pilgrim mode.Yes all 3 new rifles and storm lantern are in one of the cabins by the dam in Mystery Lake, it's a known bug.
I really liked climbing thru the coal chute!
The glimmer fog is pretty cool and the game is, as always, visually stunning.
When I went to post screenshots I saw a patch is already downloading!- 3

I also lost access to wintermute after the latest update.
I preordered the game years ago and got my key through the hinterland website.
Now it has been downgraded to survival only
I've tried the tips and tricks in this thread, but that's not working.
I do not have the wintermute dlc. I would have to pay for it to get access again. I don't see how steam can help me with a purchase I made in 2014, and I did not even buy it through their store. We need a fix from hinterland to this. Either a surefire way to solve it or you need to roll out the dlc to people who purchased it through your website.
edit: I'm curious if the people who are having issues getting access to wintemute are all people who backed the game before early access?
I would also love it if someone who did back the game before early access can confirm they still have access to wintermute.
It might be more of an issue with those of us who have had the game for many years. I also purchased mine in 2015 thru the Hinterland site but activated the code in Steam. (I was not a backer but have been playing since the first release.)
All I can say is on my end, it literally just magically re-appeared. Uninstall the game, quit everything, and wait for a while. If your install file is 11 gigs it's good, then you just have to mess around with clicking on buy from the in-game menu and switching the check boxes on and off via the properties/DLC window.
Hinterland support did respond to me (after the issue resolved itself) but I had already done what they suggested and it hadn't previously worked.
Eventually you should see both:- 4

Same issue with the no Wintermute tried uninstalling and reinstalling, rebooting and such no luck. I'm sure it will get resolved just wanted to report it.
Check the size of your install file. If it is 6gigs there is a problem. If you have an 11 gig install file it should be there but you might have to launch the game and where you see Buy next to wintermute, click on it.
you wont be charged and it somehow makes steam see you have it.
also if you can get the DLCs to appear in the DLC window, uncheck and check them.

All my issues seem to have resolved.
I uninstalled the game and shut down my computer for about an hour and a half. When I went back in, my steam install file was back up to 11 gigs and I got Wintermute back.
The expansion is also working, but I had to toggle the checkbox to get it to reinstall.- 1

I lost Wintermute completely, I'm being asked to purchase it.
The expansion, despite being present and checked in the Properties/DLC panel, is unavailable in the game.I have uninstalled/reinstalled/restarted Steam and my computer three times.
Support ticket is in but I can't be the only one.- 1

I finally got my game to launch but the expansion is not available.
Yes it is checked in the properties/DLC panel.
Wintermute is completely gone.
Support ticket in, hopefully they will respond soon, this is a bummer of a launch. -

Fixed for me know. Wintermute loads as a separate game from the home "menu"
It wants me to buy it.
I already owned it before the update.
