but one arrow is not always enough to kill a wolf (especially a bad shot)... and if it doesn't land a critical hit, it pretty much already works how you described it.  You can either wait for it to bleed out... or you can finish it off in a struggle (meleefight as you called it).  The tricky part is running it down to provoke it again. :D

Sometimes the easiest way to demonstrate what you are talking about is if you land a shot, but let the wolf get too close...  In which case, the  arrow lands... the struggle starts and ends very quickly because the first jab finishes off what the arrow started.

    :coffee::fire::coffee:

Thats not how it is today. Today you can kill a wolf with just shooting an arrow only one time, i know i have done it several times.

  2. I think if an arrow has got stuck in some sort of wild animal out there for a day the arrow should return to its proper owner and now that we have lost and found loot crates, the solution is right there in front of us.

So it might have been that arrows were balanced with that in mind that they can be lost, but then i think they should be balanced in another way. Maybe 1 arrow is not enough to kill a wolf, but when you meleefight a wolf it gives up faster if it got hit by an arrow.

🐾🐾🐾 Or maybe on rare occasions the wolf got a shot of adrenaline and now struggles harder 🐾🐾🐾

  3. Actually i had one interesting experience one time. I was on a long walk in the night and it was about 15C in temperature and took a break on a bench, were i laid down on it. Just wearing T-shirt and shorts AFAIR. I think 30 min later i decided it was time to move on. i wasnt freezing or anything, it was, as you remember 15C. But when i got up i was shaking all over my body. Teeth making noises. The temperature in my core had dropped significantly slowly over time. I thought well if get up and walk soon enough the shaking will stop. So i did but actually i just kept on shaking lmao. I decided enough is enough so i started to run and only after maybe 200 meters i was warm again.

This is like saying everytime you use forge you have a chance to get a blister.

    yes

You already get mending points from books.

But not from reading any book

Blister is not a reason to run a round naked. Blister in hand hasn't stopped me from wearing gloves. It doesn't reguire any specific threatment to heal. Just don't "pop it" if it isn't necessary.

It is if they are from burns, there are many different kinds of blisters so your one experience doesnt tell much

You already get infection immediately when you get bitten by wildlife.

    No you get a risk

You already get nice pile of sticks when you drop them. Mending points from arranging sticks? What the...?

Some people like to mend their items, this a way to do it automatically and get mending points from it

  5. If you have low skill in mending you take a risk at using the forge. For every 1 hour you use the forge you have a chance to get blisters and burn yourself. https://thelongdark.fandom.com/wiki/Burns

If you have lvl 2 in mending the chance decreases and in lvl 3 mending you no longer have risks.

You should also get mending points from crafting cloth items, maybe for every 4 hours you use in crafting could result in a mending point, but you only get the points when you are have crafted the item.

Maybe also get mending points from reading books

There could also be a thing where in the menu for dropping things you could also have an option say "put things in order" So say you put 12 sticks in order in stead of dropping 12 sticks. Now comes up 12 green sticks on your screen with an array of 3x4 and you can select where to put them, if you cant put them they are red. Now putting those sticks in an array takes time (like how carving a map takes time) but also you can then get mending points from that. You could have option to select 1x12 2x6 3x4 etc and then also rotate them 90 degrees. There could be like a maximum of mending points you can get per day using this method so people dont abuse it.

A blister could like take 5 days to heal. If you have a blister you should take of your clothes. Blister on leg = off with trousers. Then put on a bandage, then wait 5 days. Infection risk is a thing too so consider taking anti infection remedies. If you dont take of clothes and put on a bandage then it wont heal. The blister should also be cured with water, 1 ltr per day

If you get bit by large animal while having a blister you get an infection immediately.

  6. I dont know, but i know the nazis made some experiements about it, so there should be data about it. When people die from freezing they feel really warm and take of their clothes. So when you find someone dead from coldness, the chances are they dont have much clothes on.

They needed this data because the army was dying in the Russian winter

  7. what if other hunters are out there and they set up traps and u can walk into those traps- but after the catastrophic event those people are ofcourse gone but their traps arent. You walk into the traps get hurt 25% condition or down to 30% condition - you get injured has to use antibiotics and rest for 2 days to heal up . if ur below 30% it takes 4 days to heal up

Until you have healed ur limited to how far you can walk per day, cant be over encumbered, cant run and risk infection

If you know what to look for the traps are visible and then u can just walk around them or disable them

The Long Dark stands in stark contrast to a genre categorized by photo-realistic graphics, grandiose musical scores, and sounds calculated for theatrical effect—not to mention hordes of supernatural antagonists, and protagonists equipped with superpowers (or their functional equivalent).

Yeah just look her for comparison

  9. On my last day i got hypothermia buyt i figured out in stead of trying to keep myself above freezing because that was gonna fail anyway, i would collect a huge amount of wood from the houses around and then go 24 hour warmed up that way. And that worked so while there was a huge blizzard outside i even managed to deal with hypothermia and low condition of course. But i didnt play on day 2 so didnt get the badge.

The last 2 days was nice. I think when u survive on day 4 the sun should get up and you could continue to play that run. I was about to finish wolfcoat :D i had 4 skins almost cured.

  10. Cabin fever is good its just that i think there should be mental instabilities such as boilling water and then u lose concentration and then you stop before you are finished, or you get blurry vision, then dark vision then you wake up finding yourself to be nearby outside and have been outside for 15 minutes or you begin to walk diagonally instead of straight etc etc etc - instead we get this "cant sleep while inside" ... eeeh what?

    Quote

When experiencing cabin fever, a person may tend to sleep

Lets repeat that one more time:

Isn't Book Smarts the most useless feat? I liked the idea of it, but a 10% book bonus just isn't enough to be much help for me. This especially applies to Interloper, where there are only two available feat slots. I assume you're just trying it out for fun?

Booksmarts is only bad if you cant find books or if you cant create surplus off which you can spend to read.

  12. The most serious i have done is not that serious, but one time i was running a Marathon in our capital and suddenly after 24 km my knee felt strange. A marathon is 41,195 km. Like my kneecap was on its way out of its place. So i had to stumble on one leg the rest of the route. Maybe the last 5 kms or so my knee felt a little better so i could begin walking normally again. But it was a long distance to stumble, it was in a city so i was in no danger but i didnt knew the city so i couldnt take any shortcut even if i wanted. My longest run up until that point was 32km but i made it.

Another time was after school i was just a little kid and i had to bike home normally this takes 15 minutes or so, but this day there was a snowstorm and the snow had stockpiled on the road cause it was a small rural road. The snow reached up till my waist. And i had to drag my bike through this aswell. It was really tough. At one point i didnt have more energy in me so i just laid down in the snow and gathered some energy. When i had energy to move again i said fuck this i go up on the field where there not much snow. But i had to climb the small hill to get there not much maybe 1m or 1,5meter but with my bike and through snow it was hard but i made it. Then later the road split in two and i thought i would turn left whereas normally i would just go straight, because turning left gave me some cover from the wind. But it was a mistake because here again i ran into an area where the snow had piled up. So i had to go through this deep snow again. The trip took maybe an hour or a little more and when i came home i had nothing left in me and just dropped to the toilet floor.
