  1. This is fantastic - new looks, the first person actual character models (something I loved about Mirror's Edge), and now the roadmap! Please keep right on working, and release story mode when it is ready, so that we're all blown away by it. The stuff in the roadmap (especially longer range) is making me drool...

  3. I fell through the floor when entering the Riken one time, going up the stairs just inside.
  4. I hear the same issue - after playing a while (and possibly switching in and out of the game), some aspects of the audio change playback rate. Footprint sounds don't seem to be ever affected, but the character's vocalizations are, crow sounds, wolf sounds, etc. I'm running 64-bit Xubuntu 15.04 with a GeForce GTX760, and when I dual boot this machine into Windows and play the game there I have zero audio issues.
  5. So, this seems to have fixed my crash issue. I basically followed the instructions in the debian wiki above, which really just involved deleting five files: rm ~/.local/share/Steam/ubuntu12_32/steam-runtime/i386/usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/libstdc++.so.6 rm ~/.local/share/Steam/ubuntu12_32/steam-runtime/i386/lib/i386-linux-gnu/libgcc_s.so.1 rm ~/.local/share/Steam/ubuntu12_32/steam-runtime/amd64/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libgcc_s.so.1 rm ~/.local/share/Steam/ubuntu12_32/steam-runtime/amd64/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libstdc++.so.6 rm ~/.local/share/Steam/ubuntu12_32/steam-runtime/i386/usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/libxcb.so.1 I haven't had a single crash since then.
  6. I've recently switched my desktop to Linux, and I've been playing the Linux version. I saw this in v.284, and now I'm seeing it in v.298. Basically, I'm walking around, and typically on a transition (in this case, I was entering a cave in the new region), and it just dies and exits to the desktop instantly. No error message, no warning. I'm running Xubuntu 15.04, and my system specs are in the Player.log file here: http://pastebin.com/tpKcyVV8 If there's anything else I can include, please let me know...
  7. Specifically, what elloco999 said, but you also don't need to visit: - caves - bunkers - lookouts Basically, each house/trailer/building in the two maps that have a door you can enter, minus the two lookouts (which have doors, but no loading screen).
  8. I don't think that's correct. The issue is, you can't eat anything you haven't harvested, so if you find a chunk of meat in a freezer or on the ground, you can't eat that. If you harvest it from a plant or animal, or catch it yourself (fish) you can eat it. Tea does count against this, because it has calories. Water doesn't.
  9. Okay, I did a little more experimentation, using the car mirror like you did. Shooting into a car is particularily useful, because it makes a very loud "clang" sound when the bullet hits any part of the car. Here's a picture: The left view shows where I would expect the bullet to go (in red), and the right view shows the same (in yellow), and where the bullet actually strikes (in red). Its not off by a huge amount, but it appears that, at least for relatively close range, the aim point is closer to the center of the barrel rather than the sights.

I've highlighted it in yellow. The red circle is in exactly the same spot in both images.
  11. I think the point is, if its your system that is FUBAR, the devs can't do anything to help you. You need to try this on a different machine, which will point out exactly whether the problem is with your specific machine (which the devs can't fix) or there is a wider problem.
  12. I entered the Riken, and proceeded towards the first small set of stairs in the hull. I turned and strafed sideways as I was going up, to look at the metal shelf on the right, and I fell through the floor. Didn't happen a second time once I reloaded my game.
  13. Looking at your PV map, you're missing a prepper cache (the last one we found), and the one marked "Unknown" is a type A (food). See my map for the location (northeast quadrant of map). That one is type C (tools). Looks awesome though - nice job!
  14. I really like PV, mainly because it is so challenging (at least, the way I play). Every few days, I gear up and head off to some area of the map for a day or two. I'm on about day 115 in my current run, and I'm still enjoying it.
