    Burn Tinder

Would be nice if you could burn tinder (like newspapers) to get rid of this stuff. The game just spawns absurd ammounts of newspapers and it would be cool to make some use of it
  2. I have 250+ hours in the game and know all maps. I just want to make the map more useful, especially for new players. Even after the update the map dosnt get used much (see survey in steamforum), if it actually shows the position this would help alot.
  3. When you map the charakter reveals the exact position on the pitch black map, which means he clearly knows where he is right now. Why hide this information from us? The area is still small. Try the outlook on CH, the revealed area is super small even if its the highest spot on the map.
  4. I tried mapping again after the update but its still super annoying and takes forver. The area should be bigger when mapping + it would be nice if you could see where you are at on the map. The charakter we play clearly knows where he is while mapping, why not show it us?
  5. I dont see a problem with this., workshop/mods are purely optional. Even right now you can make your game super easy with custom settings, but still alot of people choose the hard modes. Just let everyone pick what he likes. If someone needs to have cheaty mods, why keep it from him? Its just a singleplayer-game and everyone should have fun with his personal favourite setting.
  6. Sure noone exactly knows, but sometimes you can assume the problem. People here on the forums probably gonna like the game, but that dosnt show the overall playerbase. Just some stats from steam. For survival mode: 50,8% of playerbase survived 1 day20,0% survived 10 days6,3% survived 50 daysonly 2,9% survived 100 days For story mode: 19,3% finished EP 17,6% finished EP 23,5% finished EP 3 A big part of buyers didnt even touched the game and onother big part dropped is real fast, regardless of what mode they played. Devs should ask themself why they loose so much players so early in the game.
  7. Hello, I would like to share my idea for a escape plan for great bear island. Please dont mind my bad english, its not my main language but I try my best. I always found that the sandbox mode is great, but it misses a big goal. Maybe an possible escape from the cold of great bear island. Step 1 - reactivating signal hill in PV: In order for your escape you have to contact the outside would. All over the regions are more or less hidden spare parts, you have to bring them all to Signal Hill in PV and repair the radio station. Step 2 - waiting for aurora: Now the station is repaired and you have to wait for an aurora. While its active you can send your call for help. But still it cant reach far enough, you just manage to speak with an old guy at the edge of the island. He tells you from an small airport and an old plane, a possible escape. Sadly the plane is in a bad shape and the guy is too old and weak to find parts and repair it himself. Also the airport is too far away for a walk in the cold. But if you could use the train... Step 3 - Reactivating train tracks You found an old handcar in a barn and see your way out. But first you have to clear some parts of the tracks and repair them. It will take you a while.... Step 4 - finding airport (new map) After hundreds of days you managed to clear all parts and repair the tracks. Now its time to go. You load your handcar with enough supplies for the long travel and go. After asome time you arrive at your target (new map - small airport). Step 5 - find old guy + repair plane: First you have to find the old guy and talk with him, he tells you what spare parts the plane needs. You tell him from a crashed airplane near Milton and already know your next and last goal - getting these parts and bring them over here... the old man says goodbye in tears and wishes you a safe travel. Will you ever come back and escape? Thats it. Its just one idea and maybe needs some polishing, but it would use alot of existing things and places arround the world. Also the airport makes sense in connection with story-mode. The handcar offers a new way of getting arround and the old guy is a good way to introduce npc to the sandbox-mode. Regards, Benny
  8. I think most people do them because it gives them a goal in the sandbox, not because it makes their game easier. Sandbox ist great, but at some point its just rinse and repeat and gets kinda boring for most of the players. In my opinion sandbox needs a possible goal, like being rescued or something. I personally would like it if you can find a handcar and reactivate the train tracks in a big effort. Just a long-lasting term which takes you hundreds of days. It would enrich the sandbox gameplay alot. Or reactivating the Signal Hill in PV. You would have to find spare parts hidden all over the world and bring them there, repair the radio station and wait for an extra strong aurora in order to send your call for help. Just something to do exept surviving.
  9. Mostly Voyageur or Stalker. I know in pilgrim wildlife is passive, but there is way too much loot. And in custom mode you cant progresss your feats. No, no meat. Probloem is wolves are often at narrow places where you just cant avoid them. And ieven if you kill them, they respawn way too fast
  10. Moose is even worse. Shot her 12 times with the revolver from maybe 4-5m in the head, nohting happend. Sure its just a revolver, but on this close range it should not matter, moose heads are not bulletproof.
  11. I love this game but the wolves are just super annoying. There are way too many in the game and they are too agressive. Ammount of them should be reduced and maybe make then less agressive. I dont have a problem with some of them attacking me, but not all of em.
