Save Files

I play on the Xbox one version so this may not apply to you on PC. This is a fun and addictive game and i enjoy it a lot but i go to play again today and it`s been awhile since i played before yesterday. My save files were gone because of the update which was fine with me but when i played again today my old save files were back and they over ran the new one i did which i spent over 10 hours yesterday and made a lot of progress. I was so upset i had to post this. Has anyone had this problem before because this is a major problem with me. Plus, there were 3 files of the same thing of my old file in 3 of the 5 save files.
