-Shrike-
Evening people! I'm new on the forum, although I've been playing TLD for quite some time (120 days survived in Stalker mode, and getting bored )Cheers!
bethany
Hey there!Glad you've decided to join us. 120 days in Stalker is quite impressive. If you're looking for new ways to challenge yourself, definitely check in with some of our YouTubers and Twitch streamers. Kraelman in particular (http://www.twitch.tv/kraelman) consistently streams new types of challenges. We also have a a few threads in our subreddit where players like to share their different challenges. Here's a good one from a couple of months ago:https://www.reddit.com/r/thelongdark/co ... hallenges/Welcome to the forums!
-Shrike-
I'm already playing by some logical rules/challenges, and been doing so from the day one.I never steal food from the wolves, and also never shoot wolves. If they attack, I try to scare them off with the torch or if that doesn't work, fire one round in their direction, just to scare them off.Rabbits should be hunted only with snares or with a bow if you really must and can, so I do that as well.Deer only with a bow, and only when you have to or want to stockpile on meat.I never sleep in cabins or any other buildings besides the Trappers Homestead, which I made a home-like thing in TLD (and decorated it a bit ).Every time I venture out of it, I prepare for the trip and the fact that I will be sleeping outside for many times until I come back.By playing like this, you can really improve on your survival skills, and more importantly, find errors withing the game and make a contribution by adding new things to a changelist (which I will upload soon on the forum).Cheers from Bosnia!
