Future of the sandbox

Sorry if these questions have been asked before:

1. Will there be further maps for the sandbox before the release of story mode? I am not asking this because I expect or want additional maps, but because somewhere at the back of my mind I have this dim memory that someone said somewhere that the sandbox would have 4 maps, and the story mode (first episode) a dozen or so. I might be completely wrong here, and mind you - I am NOT asking how many maps story will have.

2. Will the sandbox see further development once story mode is out? Again, I am not asking for further development. Just curious.

These questions go to the devs mainly. And if they follow their secrecy policy - which is great - they probably won't answer. So if anyone has any item of information, any straw I could cling to, any rumour - let's have it. 8-)
