Crash in PV v258

Coming out of a cabin by the falls before the bridge ( crossroads ).... game crashed to Black. Please see the attached .rar file with the reports. :geek:

And I was worried about the bear patrolling the area.... :roll:

....will update if it happens again.

Could you try this.

In Steam interface, click on "LIBRARY".

In games list, right click on "The Long Dark".

Choose "Properties"

Click "SET LAUNCH OPTIONS..."

Paste into text box "-force-d3d9" without the quotes

Click "OK".

Click "CLOSE".

This will run the game in DirectX 9 instead of 11. I'm not 100% if this will fix the issue but lets giver a try see fi this improves anything.
