Pitch black darkness

I'm not sure if anyone else has experienced this but when I'm in a building and I walking into a shadow the screen goes pitch black, as if the TV is turned off. When I stand in a ray of light it seems to illuminate the whole room.

It's making the game really difficult to play if I don't manage to find an oil lamp or waste a flare to find things.

I've had the game for a couple of months and its always been this way, not just since the dark forest update.

I'll check it out, seems a bit off. Though we do tend to have dark interiors so that you need a light source if you want to explore/loot every corner.

Thanks for the reply. I'm on an LG 40" HD LED telly with my Xbox One connected via an HDMI cable. I play a lot of other games and watch TV on it with no problems.
