Harvest firewood

I don't find anything about to harvest firewood so I can't tell if this is a topic already been taken up earlier?

What I lack is an opportunity to harvest firewood from logs, trees, furniture, etc.

The game is set in in the wilderness so I guess it's not an unreasonable thing? Perhaps it's planned as a future opportunity?

You are able to forage wood outside and get firewood or forage wood inside and get reclaimed wood and tinder. Just hit the tab button and select forage wood, what kind and how many you want. Just be careful not to freeze while you are doing it.
